Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our author talk with Dr Berend Mets at Table View Library. It was an enjoyable morning of discussion around his novel, Truth and Conciliation. Guests also had the opportunity to hear the opening chapter read aloud by the author himself.

Table View Library invites you to join us on Wednesday, 13 May 2026 at 11:00 for an author talk with Dr Berend Mets, who will be discussing his novel, Truth and Conciliation.

In 1996’s Cape Town, at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission hearings, an Afrikaner doctor seeks forgiveness from a Xhosa family, uncovering a dark truth.

We hope you will join us for a thoughtful and engaging discussion.

We recently had the pleasure of sharing some Easter cheer with our younger patrons, made possible by the generous Vue du Cap Retirement Village knitting team. Their thoughtful gift of “Dude Dolls” and Easter bunnies brought many smiles and our young patrons went home with a doll and an Easter egg to enjoy.
