*Dear Students of CPUT,*

In the early hours of this morning, we received communication that the venue for today’s Council meeting has been changed from *GrangerBay Campus to Lagon Beach Hotel*.

We are deeply disappointed and concerned about the reasons behind this change and the continued expenditure associated with such arrangements.

We want to assure students that *regardless of where the meeting takes place, we will echo the voices of students.* Our demands remain firm, and we will continue to stand for the interests of CPUT students.

CSRC,LSRC addressed the mass meeting in D6 campus and reflect on last central SRC meetings resolution and giving students a clear way forward and plan of action through this week.

As the SRC we have noted the opportunistic behaviour of external people hijacking a peaceful protest against the system of CPUT. We want to make it clear that as CPUT students we have always remained peaceful.

We call upon all CPUT students to remain in their rooms until there is an official communication from the SRC, our fight for the right cause has been interfered with by dangerous people who want to bring harm to our property and friendly spaces.

Our fight is for students - not against our University.
