Revolutionary greetings comrades,

I hope you are all well and in good health, sound under these unprecedented times. I also hope them your are crushing nice in this semester as SASCO promotes academic excellency.

As the branch leadership we decided that let us not let this month pass without celebrating and appreciating imbokodo. As the branch we are saying let us shy away from patriarchy by understanding that also imbokodo are equal to the task in terms of leading not only in higher education institutions but also back in our society.

Your are cordial invited to our program comrades, the details of the program are as follows;
Date: 26 August
Venue: lecture room 2, District six campus
Time: 16:00 until late.

This program will touchbase on the importance of woman in leadership and also outline and robustly discuss critical matters that resulted us to lose the ground and vibrancy in our branch and as SASCO at large.

Your attendance will be much appropriate as we are going to have speaker from PYA structures as communicated on the poster.

SASCO D6 statement on the passing of comrade Buyile
Matiwane, SASCO 21st Deputy President.
SASCO D6 has learnt with sadness the passing of Buyile Matiwane “Prof". Comrade Prof pass on after a short illness in the early morning of the 12th of July 2022. Comrade Prof joined student movement and become an activist that had students struggles at heart. Comrade Prof, through his selfless and dedicated activism went on to be elected as the branch leadership, provincial chairperson of SASCO western Cape and succumb serving as the 21st National Deputy President of SASCO.

We are still in shock to hear the passing of our former branch leader and no words would match the loss of this fine cadre of PYA structures. We lower our flags to half-mast in honour of Prof. We express
our heartfelt condolences to the Matiwane family, friends and comrades of PYA.

SASCO DISTRICT SIX STATEMENT ON THE “NSFAS allowance DISBURSEMENT"

Revolutionary greetings CPUT community,
I hope this communique finds you in good health under this plight of delayed NSFAS allowances disbursement.

SASCO District Six note abhorrent tendencies of CPUT management of delaying the disbursement of allowances with the lame excuse of “NSFAS Hasn’t paid the institution” as per the email circulated. It is very wrong for CPUT to take such sharp turn at this time of the month, understanding the annual mundane of the institution in dealing with disbursement of allowances when NSFAS hasn’t paid the institution, they had all the time to deal with the matter at upper hand but they chose the most arrogant way by only communicating on the last day before the disbursement day, there are students whom are to start their practical and they are in need of their allowance to buy required uniforms and clothes. Some students made commitments thinking that they are going to receive those funds. As SASCO we want to be candidness about this situation that CPUT can avert this matter at hand by using its normal mundane, which is to use its budget then replace when NSFAS has paid the institution. We urge CPUT to make a right necessary action once in their lifetime and disburse allowance to students no later than a week.
