The ANC Caucus consists of all ANC Members of Parliament - in the National Assembly and the National Council of Provinces. The principal tasks of caucuses of political parties are to keep MPs of each political formation informed about the parliamentary programme and to enable the MPs to discuss and agree on the approach of their parties to all matters on the parliamentary agenda. They also serve a

s the organ within which those elected by Caucus to parliamentary positions account to the organisation as well as serving as institutions that ensures the accountability of members of Caucus. Caucuses also serve as the point of contact between the MPs and the leadership of the organisation to which they belong. Caucuses manage the work of the study groups, which play the role of portfolio committee caucuses, and are therefore sub-structures of the national Caucus. As stated above Committee and Study Group chairs report to Caucus through the Chief Whip. The ANC Caucus carries out the above functions under the supervision of the Political Committee.

ANC MP and Deputy Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Cde Peace Mabe, together with the Evaton Parliamentary Constituency Office, will hand over a Combi Court, sporting apparel and books to ED
Mashabane Secondary School.

The initiative forms part of the Ministerial Outreach Programme, which aims to expand access to sports infrastructure, promote youth participation in sport and develop local talent. It also supports the Patriotic Fridays campaign commemorating the 30th anniversary of South Africa's Constitution.

[IN PICTURES] ANC MP, Cde Christina Tlhong, led a successful community engagement meeting with the community of Ward 17 in Lomanyaneng Village. The meeting was convened to address service delivery concerns, with the Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality in attendance to clarify reasons for the stalled water project in Lomanyaneng.

The MP is pleased to report that the District Municipality has committed that the Lomanyaneng Water Project will be finished in 3 weeks. The Mahikeng Parliamentary Office will closely monitor the implementation and hold the Municipality accountable to ensure that the community of Lomanyaneng receives sustainable water supply.

As part of her continued birthday celebration, Limpopo PEC Member and MP, Cde Sanny Ndhlovu, today shared her special day with Busy Bee Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centre* under the leadership of Mother Tsholo
Cde Ndhlovu spent time with the children, donated essentials and shared the joy of her birthday with the little ones.

“There is no better way to celebrate than with our children, who are the future of our nation. Investing in ECD is investing in the future,” said Cde Ndhlovu. She thanked Mother Tsholo and the ECD practitioners for their selfless dedication in nurturing and educating children.

[IN PICTURES] ANC NEC Member and Member of Parliament for the Atteridgeville Parliamentary Constituency Office, Cde Mmapaseka Steve Letsike, joined hundreds of community members for a fun run to mark the relaunch of the 20 year old Atlyn Mall after a massive, 16-month comprehensive renovation and expansion project.

Cde Letsike engaged members of the community and reminisced on the history of the mall as Atteridgeville’s first modern shopping centre to be built. Cde Letsike says the newly constructed mall has great potential to positively alter the local economy and drive other infrastructure investment projects and its expansion means more jobs and business opportunities for the people of Atteridgeville and the surrounding areas.

The Taking Services to the People initiative aims to bring government services closer to communities while strengthening collaboration between National government, local government, community structures, and other key stakeholders. [IN PICTURES] Today, ANC MP, Cde Masello Senne, deployed to Madibeng PCO, hosted a successful Women in Mining Dialogue, the first of its kind and certainly not the last. The dialogue brought together women in the mining sector, government, organised labour, industry and other key stakeholders to engage on the opportunities, challenges and barriers facing women in mining. The target was 100 Women but ended up with 170.

The programme was addressed by the Deputy Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources, the MEC for Economic Development, Conservation, Environment and Tourism, the Acting Mayor of Madibeng Local Municipality, NUM Women Structure as well as representatives from local mining houses.

Our theme: “Empowering Women in Mining, Breaking Barriers, Creating Opportunities and Building Sustainable Communities,” reminded us that meaningful transformation requires partnerships, accountability and continued engagement. Keya leboga everyone who honoured our invitation.
