Athlone Library was delighted to once again host YoungPeople (Young People @ Work) for several days of free computer training and CV updating assistance.

It is always a pleasure welcoming this dedicated team to our library as they continue to equip, inspire, and encourage our youth with valuable skills for the future. Opportunities like these help build confidence, improve employability, and open doors to new possibilities.

A heartfelt thank you to Young People @ Work for investing in our community and helping our young people take positive steps towards their career goals.

📚✨ Athlone Library recently visited Spes Bona High School for a membership drive, and it was wonderful to see so many learners showing interest in the library and the opportunities we offer.

Many of the matriculants were excited to learn about our dedicated study area and free Wi-Fi facilities, which provide a safe and supportive space for studying, completing assignments, and preparing for exams.

We look forward to welcoming these future members to Athlone Library and supporting them on their educational journey. 📖🎓

📢 Our Digital Reading Den posters are now proudly displayed in public spaces across Athlone! 🌟

With the support of the Yeboneers team working alongside a Librarian, we’ve been spreading the word about free, CAPS-aligned e-learning resources for learners from Grade R–6. 📚💻

You can find our posters at BABS Educare, Dr Abdurahman Day Hospital, SASSA Athlone, the Labour Department in Athlone, Hazendal Primary, and the Vanguard Community Centre.
