📢 Help Us Reunite a Patient with Her Family

DP Marais Hospital is reaching out to the community for assistance. Ms. Zukiswa Ncula has been admitted to our hospital for over a year and will soon be ready for discharge. Unfortunately, we have not been able to locate any of her family members or relatives. The patient is unable to provide details that could help us trace her loved ones.

We kindly ask anyone who may have information about her or her family to please come forward.

Healing Hands Day at Caledon Hospital in partnership with Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens brought together healthcare workers, schools, businesses, and community members to transform the hospital garden into a peaceful healing space. Through wellness activities, plant donations, and creative contributions such as painted stones done by community members, the initiative promoted health, environmental care, and community connection, creating a lasting sanctuary that supports recovery, wellbeing, and hope for patients, staff, and visitors.

Today, our department begins the phased rollout of Lenacapavir (LEN), a long‑acting HIV prevention option that expands choices for people at risk of infection in the Western Cape.

This milestone strengthens our comprehensive HIV prevention approach, alongside testing, treatment, condoms and oral PrEP, bringing us closer to reducing new infections in our communities.

With more accessible, user‑friendly options like a six‑monthly injection, we continue to empower residents to make informed decisions about their health and build a healthier, safer future for all.
