Tafelsig Congregation - First Aiders Recognition

After our Friendship Divine Service on Sunday, our first aiders were honoured and awarded with their First Aid Level 3 certificates.
We thank them for their dedication, commitment and willingness to serve our congregation. After the handover of the certificates, we enjoyed blessed fellowship together.
Congratulations to all our first aiders!

On Sunday, 6 September 2026, we celebrate Friendship Divine Service. For this special Divine Service, our Rector Zondre Bantom, welcomed everyone to the house of God. He also called Priest Lori-Kay Sampson to serve.

The text shared with the congregants was read from 1 John 5:8
And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one. (NKJV)

Message
We receive salvation in Christ visibly by receiving the sacraments.

Summary
■ The divine Sonship of Jesus Christ is acknowledged by God the Father.
■ The Spirit, the water, and the blood point to the saving effect of the sacraments administered in the church of Christ.
■ The sacraments are necessary for obtaining salvation in its fullness.

Tafelsig Congregation - Friendship Fun Day & Potjiekos Sale
After our joyous and wonderful Friendship Fun Day Walk, we headed back to the New Apostolic Church Tafelsig and enjoyed our Potjiekos Sale - only R25 for a serving of your choice, served with a cool drink.
On the menu was:
a. Lamb & Vegetable Potjie
b. Chicken Curry Potjie
c. Tripe & Trotters Potjie
d. Seafood Potjie
e. Pasta Potjie

Friendship Fun Day Walk - Tafelsig Congregation
On Saturday, 5 September at 08:30, we gathered at Tafelsig New Apostolic Church and prayed for God's protection before starting our Friendship Fun Day Walk.
We enjoyed wonderful fellowship as we walked together to Mnandi Beach, where we stopped for refreshments. Afterwards we walked back to the church in fellowship.
It was a truly joyous occasion. Not even the wind could keep our Members, Visitors, Sunday school children and Senoirs away.

Rector Heinrich Marcus of Eastridge 3 congregation, reads the Bible text: 2 Corinthians 5:20(NKJV): Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God

The Apostle Paul writes to the Corinth people about the purpose and nature of the Apostle Ministry:
■The ministry of the new covenant
■The ministry of the Spirit
■The ministry of righteousness
■The ministry of reconciliation
■The Apostles are the stewards of God's mysteries

This mysteries of what God has always had in mind for Humanity and to be reconciled with God through Christ, this is the nature and purpose of the Apostle Ministry. Priest Torien served along side Rector Marcus.

The couple, Walter and Susan Scritten received their Ruby Wedding Anniversary Blessing by Rector Heinrich Marcus

Deacon Keagen Jacobs was reinstated into his ministry.
