What a final push! Here is how our grades performed in the last week of the competition:
🥇 Grade 4: 98% (Phenomenal effort!)
🥈 Grade 6: 68%
🥉 Grade 3: 34%
💥 Grade 5: 6%
💥 Grade 7: 4%

NOW, THE MOMENT OF TRUTH IS COMING... 🏆
Remember, the FREE CIVVIES DAY prize goes to the grade with the highest average participation across the entire month!

We are currently calculating the 4-week totals, and the overall winning class will be officially announced next week!

What a vibrant and energetic day at school today! Our Grade 7 learners put their business skills to the test for their Entrepreneurs’ Day project, and they absolutely excelled! 🌟

From setting up colorful market stalls to budgeting, advertising, and serving customers with big smiles, our young entrepreneurs showed incredible creativity and dedication.

Our rest of the learners had an absolute blast browsing the stalls, buying delicious treats, and supporting their schoolmates. The buzz across the school ground was electric! 🥳

A massive THANK YOU to our parents, guardians, and staff who helped our Grade 7s prepare for today, as well as everyone who brought money to support their stalls. You made this project a huge success!

Our Grade 7s have put in the hard work, flexed their creative muscles, and built their very own mini-businesses for Entrepreneurs Day! From candy apples and squishy dumplings to delicious treats, drinks, and fun accessories—there is so much to see and so much to buy! 🍬🥤🎉

💡 WHY SUPPORT OUR YOUNG MOGULS?
This project isn't just about fun and snacks—it’s hands-on learning! Our Grade 7s are learning essential life skills like financial literacy, customer service, teamwork, and business planning. Every rand spent directly boosts their confidence and rewards their hard work! 🌟

👛 PARENTS, WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Since Market Day happens during school hours, only the learners will be shopping. Please remember to send your kiddos to school tomorrow with a little extra pocket money (cash/small change) so they can join in on the fun, treat themselves during break, and support their fellow schoolmates! 🪙✨

Measurement comes alive when you get to experience it firsthand! 🪣🧃

Our Grade 2A learners headed outside to dive into capacity and volume. Working in groups with buckets, cups, and recording sheets, they practiced predicting and comparing how much different containers can hold.

There was lots of pouring, estimating, active teamwork, and great learning going on! Well done to Ms Minnaar and her wonderful Grade 2A class! 👏

What a fantastic sports day we had against Irista Primary this past weekend! 🌟

Our learners truly played their hearts out in every single match, showing incredible sportsmanship, determination, and teamwork. Win or lose, we couldn't be prouder of the passion and effort they put onto the field and court!

A massive THANK YOU to all our parents, family members, and community supporters who filled the sidelines, cheered loudly, and brought such amazing energy to the day. Your support means the world to our young athletes! 🙌

We are heading into the FINAL week of the MCO Participation Competition, and things are heating up! Here is where we stand at the end of Week 4 (as seen in the chart):

🌟 Huge congratulations to Grade 6 for an incredible 94% participation!
👏 A strong showing from Grade 4 with 80%. Keep pushing!
📉 To Grades 3, 5, and especially Grade 7, there is serious ROOM TO GROW! This is the moment to rally and get your numbers up.

🎉 THE PRIZE IS WITHIN REACH! 🎉

Remember, the class with the highest overall participation at the end wins a FREE CIVVIES DAY!

A massive congratulations to Lucia Lodder and Adam Taff for representing our school at the semi-finals of the 24 Sum More competition! 🏆👏

Imagine this: 4 different digits on a card, just 5 seconds on the clock, and using rapid mental calculations to reach an answer of 24! ⏱️💨 To reach the semi-final stage of such an intense, high-speed competition is an incredible accomplishment!

We are exceptionally proud of the determination, quick thinking, and dedication Lucia and Adam showed throughout this journey. With math brains like theirs, there is no limit to what they will achieve! 🌟

A special thank you to Mr Petersen for guiding, supporting, and accompanying our learners through every step of this exciting challenge.
