STATEMENT BY ANCYL Amathole Region,

The ANCYL Amathole Region, through the Mnquma Sub-Region, will conduct a Back To School Campaign to encourage discipline, punctuality and commitment to learning led by Cde Zuko Lugalo the Regional Secretary of Amathole Region.

On 30 January 2026, we will visit Ward 23 – Mabobothi SSS (07h30) and Ward 7 – Zazulwana SSS (10h00) to motivate learners and engage school stakeholders in protecting teaching and learning.

We call on parents, SGBs and the community to work together to support every learner to succeed.

The Regional Chairperson Cde Buhle Somdaka and Regional Secretary Zuko Lugalo of the ANCYL Amathole visited the Xolela Nene Branch as part of the Right to Learn Campaign. The visit aimed to support and strengthen the student movement by ensuring a smooth transition and providing necessary assistance to advance the campaign’s objectives.
