WOKE stand in solidarity with SADASO CN Phatudi branch. As a socio-economic and political movement, we stand firm against maladministration of institutions; corruption and nepotism in institutions of higher learning;the selective biaseness by the management to student leaders and the looting of institution’s funds. It goes without a say that students of CN Phatudi for years have been faced with financial exclusion; inadequate learning material and environment; and squalor private accommodations. We strongly believe that change is needed and can only be achieved by electing the rightful students representatives who do not cuddle with the management in the expense of the students. SADASO’s cardinal pillars and policies says one thing and one thing only which is being the ‘voice of the voiceless’. SADASO’s policies are the cries of those that are in need. We encourage CN Phatudi’s students to make a change and vote right by voting for SADASO

PUBLIC AWARENESS STATEMENT🔔🔊

To members of the society. Woke wishes to make an awareness in regards to spaza shops registration order by our South African government as we are about to reach the extented closing date of the registration (Friday, 28/02/2025).

We wish to make members of the public aware that the regulatory law comes as an effort to bring about accountability, smooth and safe operations of Spaza-shops, as we are all aware of the previous unfortunate Spaza-shop incidents that occurred within our country where loss of young lives made headlines which led our Government taking this step. Woke understands and is aware of the positive role Spaza-shops are playing in assisting with poverty alleviation since most properties that are rented on are owned by South Africans.

We have realized that some foreign nationals may/would approach households owners to request them to register the businesses on their behalf, these foreign nationals would appear as employees of the registered person/s on paper, our main message is to make members of the public to understand the implications and responsibilities that come with the registration of this nature of business, members of South African public who are registered as owners of the Spaza-shop businesses should understand that anything that happens regarding the business is their responsibility, they would be held accountable if the person/s running the operations of the business is found to be selling for instance expired food, illegal ci******es, etc, even when that person is in this country illegally it would mean that the owner should take full accountability in that regard.

We urge potential Spaza-shops owners to study and fully understand what is expected of them as owners in order to avoid preventable bad events from occurring as well as their consequences.

16 June.

A commemorable day in the history of South Africa. This is the day which the youth of Soweto filled the streets to actively fight against the apartheid government and Some where shot and died on the scene,some where beaten up and arrested by the then apartheid police force. This day serves as a reminder to the youth to partake in every movement which involves the democracy of this country and make sure that it is well sustained,so that the lives of the youthful heroes and heroines which were lost in the June 16 massacre are honoured. Happy youth day🙏🏾

With the cost of living continuing to rise the inflation rate recently showed decline, We still have many more South Africans who can't afford the cost of basic living, we have a rising population with less employment opportunities created, we see more introduction of artificial intelligence which will take over jobs that were previously done by the people. Do you think our current government has solid future plan(plan per decate), century plan?. If the situation continues this way will the next generation/s have a country to proudly call home?
