The African National Congress Youth League in Metsweding has noted the positive developments regarding the placing of the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality under administration by the Provincial Government as a means to restore stability, good governance and service delivery.

It is also worth noting that in terms of this process, the City will head to the polls in 90 days' to elect a new Municipal Council and a coterie of Ward Councillors that will put service delivery at the apex of their priorities.

We wish to also encourage the RET to appoint a new ZET Coordinator and Head of Mobilisation in Metsweding who will lead the ANC in the Zone as we will be traversing through elections in the next 90 days, with unity of purpose and putting our people first.

We are extremely dissatisfied with the current ZET Coordinator and Head of Mobilisation because they are seized with infighting, petty factionalism and incompetence; we are therefore convinced that they do not possess the necessary political gravitas to lead us into a decisive electoral victory in our Zone.We implore the RET to do the right thing and put the people of Metsweding first and shun down on any divisive factional elements.We will be monitoring this process very closely to ensure that it sees the light of day.

As part of our generational mission,we will be lobbying the ANC to field in young and capable candidates across the Zone who will put the people first.

The ANC must NOT retain Councillors who did not call community meetings during their tenure, colluded with criminals in projects at the expense of the Community and used their positions to promote divisions within the ANC. Councillors who also looked down on Alliance partners and the Leagues must also NOT be retained. This we believe is the best criteria that must guide the ANC in this process if it is to win the back the City of Tshwane.

We are ready to hit the ground running and campaign for the ANC towards a decisive electoral victory.

The ANC Youth League in Ward 102 wishes to provide clarity regarding the "Zithobeni Heights Project CLO matter" as agreed upon today with the Contractor.
Following various meetings with all relevant stakeholders, it was agreed that our very own Comrade Ronny M***a, will be made Coordinator responsible for business(SMMEs) and employment matters(screening purposes). Cde Ronny will therefore interact directly with the Main Contractor in carrying out his duties towards ensuring that our people are employed and qualifying SMMEs are appointed.He will also oversee all adjudication processes that will unfold within the project.

We are therefore satisfied with the arrangement for the purposes of uniting the Community and providing much needed jobs for our people.
Our people are languishing in poverty and unemployment, we cannot therefore elevate our egos above the interests of this community.
It is against this background that we congratulate Cde Ronny M***a on his post and we wish him well on his immediate tasks at hand.

We thank each and everyone who supported this Young Lion and we are confident that he will deliver as per the mandate of the Community.
