INDUCTION WORKSHOP ON EPWP PRINCIPLES

The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure is currently hosting an EPWP Induction Workshop at the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality Headquarters.

The workshop is attended by the MEC for Public Works and Infrastructure, Dibolelo Mance, Mangaung Deputy Mayor Cllr. Lulama Titi-Odili, MMCs, senior departmental managers, and over 450 EPWP participants.

During the programme, participants officially signed their employment contracts and received an induction on the principles, objectives, and opportunities presented by the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).

This initiative advances government's commitment to creating work opportunities, developing skills, reducing poverty, and empowering communities. Through EPWP, meaningful strides continue to be made towards building stronger communities and creating pathways to a better future for residents.

MANGAUNG BEHIND BAFANA BAFANA

The City of Mangaung officially kicked off its Sports Fridays campaign as employees united in support of Bafana Bafana ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026. The initiative was led by MMC for Corporate Services, Cllr. Sibongile Tsoleli, and joined by MMC for Solid Waste and Fleet Management, Vuyelwa Jonas, together with football fraternities and representatives from the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.

The campaign aims to foster unity, national pride, and support for South Africa's national football team as they prepare to compete on the world's biggest football stage.
