π¨ *CENTLEC: THE SAME PROBLEMS, THE SAME MANAGEMENT*
Last night, Centlec reported the latest electricity complaint figures:
π΄ *129 outstanding complaints*
π΄ *111 active complaints*
π’ *263 complaints concluded*
Centlec also reported a high volume of individual complaints in:
π Park West
π Universitas
π Wilgehof
π Vista Park
π Bloemspruit
π Ferreira
π Bloemdal
π Hamilton
π Rocklands
π Heidedal
π Phahameng
π Phase 7 & 10
Area faults were still being experienced in:
β οΈ Bainsvlei
β οΈ Phomolong β line link replacement in progress
β οΈ Noordhoek
β οΈ General De Wet / Uitsig β low-voltage cable fault
Centlec says all these faults are being attended to.
But residents have to ask: *Why do we continue to experience the same problems year after year?*
Our review of publicly available information has identified *at least 11 significant weather-related outage events in Mangaung since 2021*, involving heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, hail and strong winds.
At the same time, Centlec continues to face problems with ageing infrastructure, cable theft, maintenance and prolonged outages.
And now, *Dr Malefane Sekoboto has been reappointed as Centlec CEO for a second term.*
The question is simple:
π If the grid continues to fail,
π if complaints remain outstanding,
π if infrastructure continues to deteriorate, and
π if residents continue to suffer prolonged power outages,
*why should residents expect a different result from the same management?*
Mangaung needs leadership that takes responsibility, maintains infrastructure, responds quickly and delivers reliable electricity.
*Recycling management is not fixing the grid.*
π΅ Choose accountability.
π΅ Choose reliable service delivery.
π΅ Choose the DA.
*Mangaung Can Work β for ALL.*
