⛔As we approach the end of what was a very difficult year for everyone without exception, we pray that this festive season proves to be a safe one for all our clients.
⛔To try and prevent you from becoming a statistic this year, we recommend you adopt the following preventative measures.
‼️1) *DO NOT HIRE UNKNOWN CASUALS TO PERFORM HOUSEHOLD AND GARDENING CHORES*.
This is especially important if your domestic worker or gardener is going on leave over the festive period. *BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL OF HIRING FOREIGNERS*.
We can verify ID details of locals via the home affairs database in a few minutes using fingerprints at a minimal cost.
‼️2) *TEST YOUR ALARM SYSTEM*.
Contact your armed response company and test all panic buttons while you test your alarm system. Have any faulty zones attended to instead of just bypassing them.
Periodic tests are built into your contract and it is your responsibility to perform these tests, not the monitoring companies responsibility.
‼️3) *TEST YOUR VEHICLE TRACKING UNIT*.

‼️4) *ARM YOUR ALARM SYSTEM*.
Even if you are just going to the shop around the corner for a few minutes. This is easier if you are able to arm/disarm your alarm system with a remote.
‼️5) *DO NOT WITHDRAW, TRANSPORT, COLLECT OR DELIVER LARGE AMOUNTS OF CASH OVER THIS PERIOD*.
Eager thieves are waiting and watching for these opportunities to pounce.
‼️6) *REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY TO YOUR SECURITY COMPANY IMMEDIATELY*.
It's better to apologize for overreacting then to suffer the trauma of a robbery.
‼️7) *DO NOT TRAVEL LATE AT NIGHT UNNECESSARILY*.
Ensure that you travel in convoy if possible.
‼️8) *UPDATE KEYHOLDER AND CONTACT NUMBERS* with your security company.
‼️9) *TRY AND GET SOMEONE TO HOUSE SIT IF YOU ARE GOING AWAY ON HOLIDAY*.
Prevent locking the house up and leaving it unattended.
These are a few of the basic steps one should adhere to, especially over this period. Make use of your security companies contact numbers to ensure any potential risks are investigated and mitigated immediately.
