Youth Month Tourism Engagement

Endeavours to open doors for young people in the tourism sector. The engagement is hosted by Deputy Minister Ms Makgotso Sotyu, who is leading youth engagement through gastronomy, culinary arts, and hospitality. The Deputy Minister is supported by FS Premier Ms MaQueen Letsosa-Mathae and MEC Ketso Makume (DEDT). NEF is on board to provide valuable tips on how to access financial support. The South African Chefs Association will be judging young chefs who will be showcasing their culinary skills.

On Saturday Mr Pieter Kemp and his family from Parys became the 100,000th visitor to the Dino Centre. Having driven 3 hours for the unique experience, they were excited to get free entry for the whole family and a complementary breakfast at Phoka Coffee.

Well done to the Kgodumodumo Dinosaur Interpretation Centre for welcoming so many visitors since opening its doors last year!
