RE: Access to Education Campaign 2026
Receive our Revolutionary Greetings, Sons and Daughters of Africa.
We trust that this communiqué finds you well and in high spirits as we enter the 2026 academic year.
[Congratulations to the Matric Class of 2025]
We extend our warm and revolutionary congratulations to the Matric Class of 2025 for successfully completing this important milestone in your educational journey. As you await the release of your results on 13 January 2026, we wish you strength, confidence, and success. To those whose results may not reflect their expectations, be reminded that this moment does not define your worth nor signal the end of your aspirations. Education is a journey with many paths, and resilience remains one of our greatest tools.
[NMU Returning Students]
To our fellow students at Nelson Mandela University, particularly those preparing to write re-examinations, we wish you success in your final assessments and outcomes. To the new graduates who received their completion letters in December, we extend our heartfelt congratulations, especially to the African children who triumphed against all odds. May new opportunities open before you, and may the winds of success continue to propel you forward.
[Access to Education 2026]
The period from January to February remains one of the most difficult and distressing times for African students seeking access to higher education, particularly those from working-class and poor backgrounds. Many young people face uncertainty around admissions, registration, funding, and accommodation, yet education remains their primary path toward liberation and dignity.
In response to these challenges, PASMA Nelson Mandela University will commence the 2026 Access to Education Programme on 12 January 2026. This initiative is rooted in our unwavering commitment to ensuring equitable access to higher education and providing practical support to students during this critical period.
The Access to Education Programme will provide support with:
Admissions
Registration
Financial Aid
Accommodation
As we embark on the 2026 academic year, we draw inspiration from the teachings of Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe and the revolutionary ideals of the Pan Africanist Congress of Azania. Sobukwe reminded us that “Education means service to Africa.” Through education, we equip ourselves to serve our people, challenge injustice, and fulfil the dreams of our ancestors.
PASMA remains steadfast in the struggle for justice, dignity, and equality. Together, we will continue to fight for an education system that ensures no African child is left behind in the pursuit of knowledge, empowerment, and true freedom.
Izwe Lethu! iAfrika! ✋️💚
Yours in Revolutionary Service,
PASMA Nelson Mandela University
