🎓 DON’T MISS OUT: CITY BURSARY APPLICATIONS CLOSE 31 AUGUST!

Planning to study in 2027? There’s still time to apply for the City of Cape Town’s external bursary opportunities.

The bursaries provide financial support towards registration, tuition and examination fees, as well as capped allowances for study materials, transport and meals.

Applications are open to eligible Cape Town residents who are registered for, or accepted for, full-time study at an accredited tertiary institution in South Africa, including TVET colleges.

📚 Your qualification must be in a field identified by the City as a scarce skill.

⏰ Applications close on Monday, 31 August 2026. Late applications will NOT be accepted.

Don’t leave it until the last minute. Get your application and supporting documents ready and submit them before the deadline.

The Libby app team is saddened to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton.

Dolly was a beloved artist and cultural icon, but perhaps just as importantly, she was a lifelong champion of literacy and the belief that everyone deserves access to books. Through the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, she helped put books into the hands of children in communities across the globe and inspired generations of young readers to discover the joy of reading.

Today, we’re taking a quiet moment to read in Dolly’s memory and to celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind.
