To promote, develop, advance and encourage business and tourism, through the dissemination of skills and knowledge by way of interactive guidance as well as joint marketing efforts on an on-going basis
1. Establishing an effective non-profit-generating Forum with participating members of the business community within the spatially demarcated area;
II. Appointing an effective Management Committee
from within the membership with specific skills and knowledge to accomplish our mission;
III. Wherever necessary, securing the services of suitably qualified experts to assist in the achievement of our goals and objectives;
IV. Offering and conducting skills workshops and other lessons/tutorials on an ad hoc basis to aspiring business people;
V. Engaging with local government and other authorities to ensure the unobstructed progress of all members’ businesses and aspiring business people, within the character, style and setting of Bathurst;
VI. To render such services to the members of the Forum as the management committee may approve and to this end, to enter into agreements and employ staff and/or volunteers to further the objectives of the Forum;
VII. To raise funds by subscription or any other lawful means in order to give effect to the objectives of the Forum;
VIII. To safeguard the best interests of members regarding the activities of the authorities in respect of businesses owned or managed by them and in respect of service delivery and duties of the authorities and in so doing to favourably attempt to influence, for the benefit of its members, the legislative, administrative and general activities including service delivery of the authorities;
IX. To do whatever in its power to maintain and enhance the business potential and tourist attraction of Bathurst and to promote the interests and welfare of the members of the Forum;
X. To make representation on a regular basis to the Ward 5 Committee by appointing a permanent
representative thereto. To participate and engage actively with Ndlambe Local Municipality with regard to policy, strategy and advocacy to secure the best interests of the BBF members and future business development within its area of jurisdiction. To liaise, cooperate and/or affiliate with/to any other socio-economic type organisation with similar
objectives and ideals in order to better accomplish our mission and achieve our objectives for the good of
Bathurst;
