Woman critical after vehicle rolls - KZN South Coast

A short while ago IPSS Medical Rescue received reports of a motor vehicle accident on the N2 between Park Rynie and Sezela on the KZN South Coast.

On arrival of paramedics it was established that a single vehicle had lost control resulting in it rolling multiple times.

The driver of the vehicle, a woman in her 30s, was ejected and sustained critical injuries.

She was stabilised on scene before being transported to a nearby hospital under the care of an IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support paramedic.

Another occupant of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and refused treatment on scene.

Ballito - sand bank collapses on construction site

On Wednesday morning, IPSS Medical Rescue & IPSS S&R responded to a construction site in Ballito, after a sand bank collapsed, leaving one person entrapped.

Teams arrived to find the man alive, but in a critical condition. While under the care of IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support, teams began the work of freeing the man.

Teams from IPSS Medical Rescue, IPSS Search & Reacue, KDM Fire Department and construction workers, worked for over an hour to free the man.

He was stabilised on scene, and has been transported to a specialist facility in Durban for the further care he requires.

R66, Buhemdle - collision leaves 1 dead

On Tuesday afternoon, IPSS Medical Rescue responded to reports of a collision between a bus and a light motor vehicle on the R66, between Eshowe and Gingindlovu.

The driver of the light motor vehicle was found in a critical condition and severely entrapped within her vehicle. Despite the best efforts of Paramedics on scene, she was sadly declared deceased on scene.

Most passengers of the bus were lucky to escape with only minor injuries, with two passengers being transported with more serious injuries.

Our condolences go out to the friends & family of the deceased.
