Shared Universe Foundation, non-profit, project-driven conservation, education and research group focused on endangered species and ecosystem restoration.

We work hard to rehabilitate this region at Mapesu in Northern Limpopo South Africa and beyond. There is not doubt that we are in a critical moment in the conservation of rhinos and endangered species. They are at constant threat of extinction due to excessive poaching and loss of habitat. Cheetahs are truly magnificent creatures that embody speed and agility, but did you know that unlike other big cats, cheetahs can’t roar. Instead, they purr, chirp, and even make a bird-like chirping sound to communicate.

It’s World Gorilla Day!
Gorillas, our closest relatives in the wild, are vital to the health of their forest habitats. As seed dispersers, they help maintain the diversity of plants, supporting entire ecosystems. Sadly, gorillas are critically endangered due to habitat destruction, poaching, and disease. 🚫

Tigers, like our local lions, leopards, and rhinos, are a vital part of our global ecosystem. Their survival is crucial to maintaining the balance of nature. This International Tiger Day, let's unite to raise awareness and take action to protect these majestic creatures.

🌍🦒 Happy World Giraffe Day!
Celebrate the longest day of the year by honoring the animal with the longest neck!

Did you know that giraffes can spend up to 80% of their day eating? These gentle giants consume vast amounts of plants to sustain their large bodies. They skillfully reach high into trees for leaves or bend down to nibble on low shrubs. In the wild, mature giraffes can eat up to 66 kg (145 lb) of food daily!
