*EFFSC UFH ALICE BRANCH STATEMENT ON THE NSFAS APPEAL RESULTS.*

*NB‼️‼️NSFAS APPEALED STUDENTS*

Revolutionary Greetings

We hope this communique reaches you safe,healthy and secure in these trying times.

As *EFF Students Command Alice branch* we would like to remind all students who had appealed for NSFAS funding to check their MyNSFAS account student portal for results of appeals.This reminder comes as a results of the previous announcement by NSFAS in all their social media platforms stating that on the 15th of April 2020,NSFAS appeals process would have been completed and results will be sent out on the MyNSFAS account.

Its been long that our students have been subjected to hunger,booklessness and squatting due to Monthly allowances payment not being guaranteed.We wish and pray that your results should be successful.

We then demand for immediate payment of allowances after we reopen and should that not happen the Financial Aid Office together with UFH Finance department think we are weak or,they should remember despite pandemic we didn't lose strength,We are still fresh,vibrant,energetic and young.

THE EFFSC UFH ALICE BRANCH STATEMENT ON THE PROHIBITION OF ONLINE ASSESSMENTS BY THE INSTITUTIONS

09 APRIL 2020

First and foremost,the EFFSC UFH Alice Branch welcomes the prohibition of online assessments by the university.As the political organisation that works and reasoned based on logic.The e-learning should have been rejected in the first time becuase that new model of learning is not due to backwardness or anything of that nature but the recognition of historical materialism.By historical materialism we simply mean the recognition of different backgrounds that students come from and that their poor or privileged background does not put them on equal basis but on unequal basis in terms of access to technological devices,usage of and ownership of them.

E-learning was exclusionary to many students that do not have means of DATA,Sophisticated gadgets and students that live in areas with no electricity at all and some even with network complications which makes connection impossible.

As the EFFSC the only organisation capable of providing cogent,pragmatic and programmatic solutions in institutional complexities that leaves students in archaic situation we have devised a proper way gravitating foward.In order to make sure everyone in the equal rate,pace and stance.

1.We urge all Students to not seat any class on whatsapp whilst they are at home becuase even whatsapp learning is part part of online assessments.any lecture force students to that class should be reported.

2.All students whenever they have time and data they should try to familiarize themselves with study materials to pick up where they can as to help them when we reopen.

3.Every Assignments which have due dates during lockdown their due dates must be moved to the second week after we have reopened.

We are young and energetic.the above genuine,grassroots which are Non-negotiable for. *Nanini sithanda singayisusa*
