🌸🌼 LENTEDAG IN STYL! 🌼🌸

Gister tydens pouse het ons Raad 2027 besluit om Lentedag sommer behoorlik te vier en wat ’n oulike inisiatief was dit nie!

Met ’n tikkie tombola-nostalgie het hulle verskillende stasies vir ons leerders ingerig, waar daar lekker meegedoen en meegeding kon word:

🖍️ Teken met bordkryt
📸 ’n Foto-kompetisie
🍔🥤 EN natuurlik die groot gunsteling… die 1kg hamburger-, chips- en 1l Coke-eetkompetisie!

Ten hungry boys made it to the final to find out who could finish the food the fastest! When they sat down, the first words were: “...the portion looks rather small!”
Well… they very quickly regretted those words!

Before long, their mouths were full, the burgers were disappearing, and the participants were wondering whether they might have been a little too confident!

🏆 And the winner is…
LOGAN VAN DER WESTHUIZEN (Gr. 11)
2nd place - Jordan Scott (Gr 11)
3rd Place - Mika van Biljon (Grade 10)

Logan now holds the record, but we strongly suspect that next year’s participants will start practising their eating skills well in advance!

A huge thank you to Manna Café for the delicious, juicy burgers that were ready for these hungry participants!
We absolutely love the energy, creativity and initiative of our 2027 Council.

This definitely needs to happen again next year!

MARAIS VILJOEN RAAD 2026 & 2027

Dit is ’n besonderse tradisie by Marais Viljoen dat ons nuutverkose Raad ’n geskenk aan die huidige Raad oorhandig! ’n Klein gebaar met ’n groot betekenis.

Die geskenk is ons manier om aan ons huidige leiers dankie te sê vir hul diens, toewyding en leierskap gedurende die afgelope jaar. Julle het ’n belangrike rol gespeel, en ons waardeer die verskil wat julle gemaak het.

This year, our 2027 Council continued this beautiful tradition. During a special gathering, the 2026 Council was thanked for their service and, at the same time, wished them well for the upcoming exams and the new chapter that awaits afterwards. 🎓✨

Our wish for each of you is that you walk the road ahead with courage, confidence and determination, pursue your dreams and embrace every new opportunity with both hands.

To the 2027 Council: May you fulfil your role with pride, integrity, responsibility and care. We look forward to seeing the difference you will make!
