A mum and her two children from Nottingham, made a return visit to my workshop at Salt Cellar Workshops, Porthleven. last week, whilst here on holiday. They chose to make sea glass jewellery, two were pendants and the other an anklet :) 💖

This week I met with a family who brought with them sea glass that held an extra special space in their hearts ❤️

They found the glass on a local beach the day they said goodbye to their very much loved grandfather/great grandfather :( and spent a day setting them in silver together, adding heart details to the backs.

This jewellery not only celebrates their special bond with him, but also the close relationship they have with each other 💖

I always love a withy pot get together! On Saturday we couldn't let an opportunity to meet withy pot maker from Geunsey pass! He was visiting Cornwall with his wife and was greeted by a group of withy pot makers from Gorran Haven, myself and withy pot maker Stephen from St Michael's Mount. It's growing!!! 🌿

My two boys have been so very kind in finding pine needles for me to coil. Most of them have been foraged during local walks around Helston, but I included a precious little batch on our annual trip to St Loy, a location that holds a special meaning to our family :) next up will be some very long pine needles found in Godolphin woods!! I love seeing them slowly grow and take shape

Two lovely ladies from Porthleven, joined me at my studio this week in Salt Cellar Workshops, Porthleven. and made pendants from their collection of sea glass 🌊 They decided to have settings with open backs and a subtle border to frame their beach treasure 💖

I always feel very flattered when a couple choose to make their wedding bands with me 💖 Prior to the workshop, time was spent discussing ideas and they decided to make each other matching organic textured silver bands, one finished with a beautiful cobalt blue piece of sea glass.

If you would like to make your own bespoke wedding bands together here in Porthleven at my studio in Salt Cellar Workshops, Porthleven. I'm always happy to hear from you :)

There are only a couple of days left to see Withy Lore at the National Lobster Hatchery, which ends this Sunday. This is also our last touring Withy Lore stop for now, whilst we take a moment to reflect and celebrate what we have all achieved !

It has been such an amazing experience working with Storylines throughout the development of Withy Lore. Together we have had the opportunity to explore many ways to document and share this beautiful craft and makers.

We have been so privileged to have some amazing venues to showcase the project, including Cornwall Museum and Art Gallery , Museum of Cornish Life , Kresen Kernow and the National Lobster Hatchery. We can't thank them enough for all of their support!

Also thank you to funders for believing in our ideas! and everyone who has visited one of exhibitions or taken part in workshops :)!
..and last but not least a massive thank you to all of the withy pot makers and withy pot enthusiasts for being so generous with your time, knowledge, skills! Without you, this project would not have happened.
