This makes me so angry. During the last two Sessions we’ve had to fight the Moore administration’s repeated attempts to dramatically cut funding for our disabled community, both those in agencies and those who utilize the self-directed care model like Bret, employing his sister Brielle, featured in this article. While there was a legitimate need to make some changes to DDA to stay within federal funding match guidelines - the cuts it seemed to fall heaviest on this vulnerable population that we all acknowledge need help through no fault of their own. A small amount of the hundreds of millions in cuts were restored by the General Assembly but the final budget - which I voted against - still featured big cuts. I will continue working to try to mitigate this terrible impact and hold DDA’s bureaucracy accountable too. (Full article in comments)

Maryland’s high cost of living is the biggest overall crisis we face as we head into the pivotal 2026 Elections, where every state office from Governor to legislature is on the ballot. We can’t continue to be one of the highest states for utilities/energy, combined tax burden, home prices, gas tax and more. Working families, retirees and small businesses need relief…or they are gonna go elsewhere.

April is a strong and effective leader for our community and she fights in Annapolis for common sense, conservative values and principles. Along with Chris Tomlinson for State Delegate, our team is working to turn our state around. Be sure to vote in the June 23rd Republican primary or vote early June 11th-18th at Westminster or South Carroll Senior Centers.

I’m honored to have just received the endorsement of Maryland Farm Bureau for the 2026 Election. Our farmers, agricultural producers and agritourism businesses are the lifeblood of Carroll County, Frederick County and all of Maryland. Standing up for them from Annapolis overreach and protecting our farmland and open spaces from corporate eminent domain are top priorities for me and will continue to be. Thank you so much Farm Bureau for your support!

It was really nice to be at Chris Tomlinson for State Delegate’s campaign fundraiser at O'Lordan's Irish Pub in Westminster. I was honored to say a few words of support and introduce other speakers including Shannon Hinkhaus for Carroll , Delegate April Rose and Maryland House Republican Caucus Whip Delegate Jesse Pippy. Great turnout and support for Chris!
