KINDERGARTEN MOVING-UP CEREMONY 2026

Joy and pride filled the air as the Kindergarten learners of Don Rosalio Eduarte Elementary School (DREES) celebrated their Moving-Up Ceremony, marking a significant milestone in their early educational journey.

The ceremony was held under the leadership of the school’s dedicated principal IV, Maam Dahl Silvania .

The Kindergarten class, guided by their adviser, Maam Joanne T. Bose, showcased their talents through delightful song presentations that brought smiles and pride to parents and guests. The event highlighted the learners’ growth, achievements, and readiness to take on the challenges of primary education.

Adding inspiration to the occasion was the guest speaker, Pat Haris Joy F. Caydan, who delivered an encouraging message to the young learners and their parents. Caydan commended the pupils for their perseverance and reminded them to always be curious, kind, and eager to learn as they step into Grade 1.

GRADUATION CEREMONY 2026

A momentous occasion marked the culmination of elementary education for Grade 6 learners of Don Rosalio Eduarte Elementary School (DREES) as they participated in their Graduation Rites.

The ceremony was conducted under the leadership of the school’s dynamic principal IV Maam Dahl Silvania .

Serving as advisers of the graduating class were Maam Maria Antonet A. Blanes and Maam Myra R. Tadeo, who guided and nurtured the learners throughout the academic year. Their commitment played a vital role in shaping the graduates into responsible and competent individuals ready for the next level of their education.

The event was graced by the presence of Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) Sir Leonardo T. Balneg, who accepted and confirmed the graduates.

Adding inspiration to the celebration was the Guest Speaker, Mrs. Gee Leslie A. Zapata, a proud alumnus of DREES. GRADUATION MASS 2026

A solemn and meaningful Graduation Mass was held for the graduating Grade 6 and Kindergarten learners of Don Rosalio Eduarte Elementary School (DREES), marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of the pupils.

The Eucharistic celebration was officiated by Rev. Fr. Alfredo Eduarte, who delivered an inspiring homily emphasizing gratitude, perseverance, and faith as the learners move forward to the next chapter of their lives. He encouraged the graduates to carry with them the values they have learned and to remain steadfast in their dreams.

The activity was conducted under the leadership of School Principal IV, Maam Dahl Silvania , Principal IV.

The Grade 6 class, guided by their advisers Maam Maria Antonet A. Blanes and Maam Myralyn R. Tadeo, and the Kindergarten class, under the care of Maam Joanne T. Bose, monitored the smooth conduct of the mass in the mass making the celebration more heartfelt and memorable.

DREES Holds GAD Symposium on VAWC, Safe Spaces, and Anti-Bullying

In line with the celebration of 2026 National Women’s Month, Don Rosalio Eduarte Elementary School under the leadership of Maam Dahl Silvania , Principal IV, conducted a Gender and Development (GAD) Symposium focusing on Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC)- RA 9262, the Safe Spaces Act - RA 11313, and Anti-Bullying - 10627.

The activity aimed to raise awareness among learners, teachers, and school personnel on the importance of promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. It also emphasized the roles and responsibilities of individuals in preventing abuse, harassment, and bullying in both school and community settings.

PMSg Glenda Jimenez of the Dolores Municipal Police Station served as the resource speaker. She delivered an informative discussion on the different forms of violence covered under the VAWC law, highlighting the importance of reporting incidents and protecting victims’ rights. She also explained the provisions of the Safe Spaces Act, reminding participants that harassment in public spaces, online platforms, and within institutions is punishable by law.

Furthermore, PMSg Jimenez discussed the Anti-Bullying Act, stressing the need for early intervention and the active involvement of teachers, parents, and learners in creating a bully-free environment. She encouraged students to speak up and seek help when faced with any form of abuse or intimidation.

The symposium served as a valuable platform in strengthening the school’s commitment to uphold gender equality, child protection, and safe spaces for all. Don Rosalio Eduarte Elementary School Conducts First Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

Don Rosalio Eduarte Elementary School headed by Maam Dahl Silvania , Principal IV, successfully conducted its First Simultaneous Earthquake Drill as part of the school’s continuing effort to promote disaster preparedness and ensure the safety of its learners and personnel.

The activity aimed to equip learners, teachers, and teacher interns with the proper knowledge and response procedures during earthquakes. During the drill, learners and teachers practiced the standard “Duck, Cover, and Hold” technique inside their classrooms. After the simulated shaking stopped, they proceeded to designated safe evacuation areas in an orderly manner, guided by their teachers.

The drill served as an important opportunity for the school community to strengthen awareness and readiness in the event of real emergencies. Learners were reminded of the importance of staying calm, following instructions, and prioritizing safety during disasters.

DREES Girl Scouts Participate in the 45th Abra Provincial Jamboree

BUCAY, ABRA — The Girl Scouts of Don Rosalio Eduarte Elementary School (DREES) actively participated in the 45th Abra Provinci Jamboree held at Borikibok, Bucay, Abra, joining fellow Girl Scouts from different schools across the province in a meaningful gathering that promoted leadership, teamwork, and camaraderie.

The jamboree brought together young Girl Scouts to engage in various activities designed to develop their skills, confidence, and sense of responsibility. Participants took part in outdoor adventures, team-building activities, scouting challenges, and learning sessions that strengthened their knowledge of the Girl Scout ideals and values.

The DREES Girl Scouts were guided and supported by their dedicated troop leaders Ma’am Migara F. Talledo,Maam Princess Mae T. Aldaca, and Ma’am Myralyn R. BFP Conducts Fire Prevention Month Symposium at Don Rosalio Eduarte Elementary School

In line with the observance of Fire Prevention Month this March 2026, a symposium on fire safety and prevention was successfully conducted at Don Rosalio Eduarte Elementary School through the initiative of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Dolores Fire Station.

The activity was led by SFO4 Alex Gerard M. Aquitania, together with FO1 Romel Gavanes and FO3 Edmalyn B. Reguntun, who served as the resource speakers during the symposium. The program aimed to educate learners and school personnel about the importance of fire safety awareness and preparedness in preventing fire-related incidents.

During the discussion, FO1 Romel Gavanes and FO3 Edmalyn B. Reguntun explained the common causes of fire, such as faulty electrical connections, unattended cooking, and improper handling of flammable materials. They also emphasized practical ways to prevent fire at home and in school by maintaining electrical safety, ensuring proper storage of combustible materials, and remaining vigilant in everyday activities.

In addition, the firefighters introduced the different kinds of fire extinguishers and explained their specific uses depending on the type of fire. To further enhance understanding, the BFP personnel conducted a live demonstration on the proper use of a fire extinguisher, guiding participants on the correct technique to effectively put out small fires.

The symposium provided valuable knowledge and skills to learners and teachers, promoting awareness on fire prevention and emergency preparedness. Through activities like this, the Bureau of Fire Protection continues to strengthen its advocacy of keeping communities safe and informed.

Don Rosalio Eduarte Elementary School Launches 2026 National Women’s Month Celebration

Don Rosalio Eduarte Elementary School headed by Maam Dahl Silvania , Principal IV, officially kicked off the celebration of National Women’s Month with a meaningful and vibrant program held during the school’s flag ceremony.

The program began with the singing of the Lupang Hinirang, rendered by an all-women cast, symbolizing the strength, leadership, and vital role of women in nation-building and community development. The performance set the tone for the celebration and highlighted the empowerment of women within the school community.

Adding energy and enthusiasm to the program, teacher interns from the University of Abra led a lively dance presentation titled Juana Ikaw ang Manguna. The dance encouraged participation from learners and teachers, promoting the message of women taking the lead in shaping a progressive and inclusive society.

Following the flag ceremony, Ma’am Sheryl C. Barber, the school’s Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Person, delivered an informative orientation about Gender and Development (GAD).
