We're looking forward to the Sussex Sustainability Showcase tomorrow at midday at AudioActive Worthing - hope to see you there!

There’ll be a free sustainability showcase in Worthing town centre next week, where you can find out more about a number of green projects taking place across the area.

The session is being hosted by Hemiko, our partner delivering the Worthing Heat Network, and will bring together representatives from sectors covering marine conservation, renewable energy and more.

Community groups Climate Resilience Centre Worthing (CREW) and Transition Town Worthing will also be in attendance, highlighting local projects and events that you can get involved in to support the environment.

The showcase is taking place at AudioActive Worthing on Montague Street on Tuesday 10th February from midday to 3pm. The friendly drop-in event is open to everyone and no booking is required. We hope you can join us.

As part of the second phase of the Worthing Heat Network project, we have today published two more disposal notices for a section of promenade opposite Steyne Gardens and some land outside Splashpoint Leisure Centre, which is connecting to the network this year.

The Mayor of Worthing invites you to join her for a special evening celebrating the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen on Thursday 4th December at 6pm at Worthing Town Hall.

The Mayor of Worthing and The Worthing Society are proud to invite you to a special evening of celebration for the life of Jane Austen, who had strong connections to the town of .

There will be refreshments available, and an opportunity to browse an exhibition of memorabilia from the era, as well as hearing a fascinating talk on the life of one of the nation's most loved and respected writers.

All proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Mayor's Charities:

If you have serviceable winter coats and warm clothes you no longer need, before you drop them into our clothing recycling bins, please give to Wrapupworthing who, each November, collect warm items to help homeless and vulnerable people in .

Donations are flooding in! Thank you to everyone who has given their unwanted coats and warm clothing to us at station and to our partners hosting collection points.

We were delighted to be selected by the Mayor of Worthing to be one of the chosen charities for her Mayoral year. The other charities are Worthing Food Foundation and , both of which are doing fantastic work in our community.

We hope that the wonderful people of will show their kindness and generosity in supporting Madam Mayor's fundraising appeal.
