Extreme heat (~100°F) is anticipated for the remainder of the week. Due to HVAC system limitations expect elevated indoor temperatures.

CYS programs (DTA/Bryant CDCs, School Age, MST, 5th Grade Camp) are closed for the remainder of this week due to strict child temperature rules and HVAC issues. CDC/School Age will reevaluate July 5th. MST and 5th Grade Camp expect to open next week.

DTA remains open. Coordinate with your supervisor for telework guidance.

Report malfunctioning HVAC systems or extreme indoor temperatures via the Army's Maintenance Application (ArMA) web site. https://maintenance.army.mil/arma. ArMA is the most efficient means of getting facility repairs reported and completed. Emergency service requests should be reported to the DPW by calling the service desk at 282-5326.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Due to extreme temperatures and air conditioning units struggling to keep up, the Child Development Centers at both DTA & Bryant will close effective immediately. Please pick up children approximately no later than 1330.

The School Age Center Kinder Field Trip will return at approximately 1300.

CYS staff will report to work as normal schedule indicates unless your supervisor advises differently.

Any potential future closures will be sent via Alert due to our transition to the new CYMS system and posted on Garrison, FMWR and CYS pages.

Flag Day — June 14

Celebrate Flag Day by honoring the Stars and Stripes that represent our shared history, values, and freedoms. Adopted by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1777, the flag stands for national unity and the sacrifices of generations who served. Take a moment today to reflect, raise it with pride, and remember those who defended our liberties.
