AIP Holds Working Committee Meeting in Srinagar, Reviews Legal Developments and Public Outreach Strategy
Srinagar, March 30: The Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) convened a meeting of its Working Committee at Srinagar to deliberate on key political and organizational matters.
The meeting was attended by Vice President Adv. G N Shaheen, General Secretaries Prince Parveez and Nazir Ahmad Khan, State Secretary Sheikh Ashiq and senior leaders including Firdouse Ahmad Baba, Parveez Ahmad Bhat, Adv. Dawood Ahmad Bhat, Nazir Ahmad Mir, Naseer Ahmad Rather, Anayat Ahmad Bhat, Dr. Suhail Ahmad, Parveez Jamwal, Muzaffar Dar, Dr. Adil Nazir Khan, Auqib Mushtaq, Tauseef Ahmad, Zameer Dakroo, Showkat Pandit, Mohammad Akbar, Farooq Ahmad Shah, Ajaz Ahmad Lone and Arshid Ahmad Khan.
The Working Committee unanimously appreciated Advocate Hariharan and his team for fighting the legal battle for securing bail for MP Er Rashid in High Court and Adv Vikhyat Oberio and his team in NIA Court Patial House New Delhi. Members expressed deep gratitude for their efforts and acknowledged their role at a crucial juncture. The party noted that people across Jammu and Kashmir are closely following the ongoing legal developments and remain hopeful. The committee expressed confidence that the judiciary will uphold justice and grant bail to Er Rashid at the earliest.
The Working Committee also discussed the status of promises made during the elections and reviewed progress on various commitments. It was resolved that constituency incharges should further intensify public outreach, with active participation of senior party leadership to strengthen engagement with the people on the ground.
Emphasizing the need for stronger public connect, the party reiterated its commitment to addressing people’s concerns and ensuring accountability on commitments made.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to continue political and legal efforts while remaining firmly committed to democratic principles and public representation.
