CHPTA really likes the Railroader. As the Salt Marsh Trail is in it...

Very excited I was able to get a glimpse of these Tamarack/Larch flowers. 🌸
It was a young tree only 3 - 6 years old, growing at the edge of a field in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia.
The Tamarack is a conifer tree that drops its needles every year. The needles look hard and spiky but get up close and they actually feel soft and rubbery. 🌲

Annual General Meeting – Monday – June 1 st , 2026 6 pm

Cole Harbour Parks and Trail Association (CHPTA) will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Cole Harbour Fire Department at 1150 Cole Harbour Road, on Monday – June 1st, 2026.

The AGM will be held in the Fire Hall and doors will open at 6:00 pm and meeting will begin at 6:30 pm. Entrance to the parking lot is on Ashgrove Avenue.

The Cole Harbour Heritage Park and the Salt Marsh Trail continue to be favorite areas for all users, both local and 'come from away'.

With the snow just gone the three parking lots on Bissett Road and the parking lot on the West Lawrencetown Road tend to be full on weekends.

The efforts of CHPTA’s volunteer teams – Maintenance, Trail Stewards and Board of Directors ensure these trails continue to be accessible to all. Many of CHPTA’s volunteers currently hold more than one role within CHPTA and we always welcome more volunteers to our organization.

The AGM will review the activities of the past fiscal year – 2025-26, present our plans for this fiscal year and look ahead to future projects and activities.

Please RSVP to [email protected] by 2026 05 25.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at the AGM.
