The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest and most selective honor society for all academic disciplines. The organization inducts approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff, and alumni annually from more than 300 select colleges and universities in North America and the Philippines. Membership is by invitation only to the top 10 percent of seniors and graduate stude

nts and 7.5 percent of juniors. Faculty, professional staff, and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction also qualify. Since its founding, more than 1.25 million members have been initiated into the ranks of Phi Kappa Phi. President Jimmy Carter, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, best-selling novelist David Baldacci, Grammy Award-winning soprano Renée Fleming, YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, and NASA astronaut Wendy Lawrence. The University of Wyoming (UW) Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi ( #028) was founded in 1922 and currently has 395 members. Here at UW we let the love of learning rule humanity, and welcome all upperclassmen and graduate students who strive for academic excellence to accept our invitation to join our chapter. To be our chapter's nominee for the national fellowships, I must receive your packet by Wednesday, March 25. This allows time for the chapter officer to review all packets and pick our chapter's nominee. The chapter then uploads the nominee's materials by April 15.

Did you see these tips for Fellowship Applicants?

Phi Kappa Phi will soon award a total of $615,000 to Fellowship recipients for 2020 – including 50 awards of $8,500 each, six at $20,000 each, and two at $35,000. The program provides funding to members entering the first year of graduate or professional study across all academic disciplines.
