American Association of Correctional Professionals - AACP The AACP is open to Corrections Professionals from all aspects of correctional employment public or private, active or retired.

Our nation's Correctional Professionals operate in a shadow world out of sight from the general public. Their role is often misunderstood not only by society but also too often by our fellow law enforcement partners. The American Association of Correctional Professionals is dedicated to shining a light on the risks these professionals take on a day to day basis to ensure not only the safety and se

curity of those under their care and each other but their communities as well. The goal of the AACP is to remove our profession from the shadows and educate the public and our law enforcement partners on what it really means to work in a correctional or detention facility and bring the respect to our profession it deserves. The association is open to Corrections Professionals from all aspects of correctional employment public or private, active or retired. If you currently work or have worked inside the walls in any capacity and are interested in advancing the profession we welcome your membership.
