MY QUEST FOR A GREATER LAFIA NORTH CONSTITUENCY -2027

After wide consultations with the electorates across Lafia North Constituency, and building on my long-standing commitment to progressive politics, I have resolved to actualize my ambition on a trusted and credible platform.
Today, I officially announce that I, Amb. Isaac Peter Azige (I.P.A), will be running for the Nasarawa State House of Assembly to represent the good people of Lafia North Constituency, MOST PROGRESSIVELY, under the platform of the Social Democratic Party ( SDP )
I hereby call on everyone who believes in BOLD IDEAS to see this aspiration beyond party borders and embrace it as a collective movement focused on people-centered development, inclusive representation, and a safer, more prosperous Lafia North.
As our nation navigates its current challenges, it has become evident that leadership at all levels requires a proactive and solution-driven approach.
The untapped potential, creativity, and innovative spirit of our youth are essential to revitalizing our nation and setting it on a path towards economic prosperity and a safer society.
Lafia North Constituency, renowned for its abundant agricultural resources and a majority of its people engaged in farming, yearns for a new representative paradigm that will unlock its full economic potential.
The task of building our beloved constituency requires a careful search for a visionary representative with a deep understanding of the constituency’s complexities, including its geography, demography, culture and agricultural resources.
I am confident that my aspiration to become the architect of a greater Lafia North Constituency under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in 2027 will yield unprecedented developmental strides, aligned with global benchmarks for economic growth, infrastructural development, human capital development and social welfare schemes.
My relentless aspiration as a Member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly is to:
° Be a strong voice for the majority of my constituents in enacting progressive laws and ensuring a fairer standard of living for all.
° Be a resolute advocate for justice and humanistic leadership, grounded in integrity and accountability.
° Provide strong representation for youths and young leaders by promoting inclusion, opportunity, and innovation in governance.
° Foster deliberate strategies to develop Lafia North Constituency into the state’s safest and most attractive constituency for business, investment, and tourism.
° Promote policies and programs that protect children, support pregnant women, empower women, give support to the elderly and advance the rights and welfare of persons living with disabilities, ensuring access to education, healthcare, social protection, and economic opportunities.
The time for transformation is now.
This collective task requires a genuine mission, achievable goals, and a commitment to the people.
I am sincerely dedicated to this cause, armed with BOLD IDEAS and a clear vision for a brighter future.
