It's our goal at Gilda's Club to provide free support to anyone impacted by a cancer diagnosis.

We’re celebrating life, laughter, and community! ❤️

This past weekend, we hosted an incredible Childhood Cancer Survivor Day at Gilda’s Club South Florida. It was a day dedicated to creating these positive memories that mean the world to families and us in South Florida. 🤝

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to our presenting sponsor, Nicklaus Children's Hospital, as well as Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, Florida Panthers, and the Batchelor Foundation. Your support makes these moments possible!

The day was filled with endless smiles thanks to Jack Maxwell the magician 🪄, our friends at Bubble Truck Florida Keys, the petting zoo, Kona Ice🍧, and a high-energy Zumba class with Natalia Kaydanova. We also loved the natural juices from The Juice Spot and healthy treats prepared by our Oncology Nutritionist, Marie Regnell RD CSO. 🫧

A special shout-out to the Fort Lauderdale Police K-9 team, WPLG Local 10, and our hardworking volunteers from Kesem FIU and Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale for their incredible support.

Learn about the power of palliative care!

Join us in person at Gilda’s Club South Florida for an educational workshop featuring HCA Healthcare physician Dr. Tracy Romanello. Dr. Romanello brings over a decade of experience advancing care and during this session, she will discuss the role of palliative care in cancer treatment including what it is (and isn’t), when it should be introduced, and how to begin the conversation.

Today is National Cancer Survivors Day. 🤝

Let’s take this day to honor the strength, courage, and resilience of those who have faced cancer and to remind every cancer patient and survivor that they are never alone.

At Gilda’s Club South Florida, we see survivors every day. We strive to build a community, so every person impacted by cancer can find a space where they can find connection, resources, and healing. From our support groups and wellness classes to family events and educational workshops, our free programs are here to meet survivors and their loved ones wherever they are in their journey.

Our Thrive Wellness Expo was an event to remember! 🌟

Last week, Gilda’s Club South Florida was honored to host our annual Thrive Wellness Expo right here at the clubhouse. Our hearts were full seeing such an incredible turnout, with community members, local businesses, and organizations all coming together. ❤️

This gathering was a wonderful opportunity for healthcare providers, wellness experts, and community organizations to offer valuable resources, education, and support to those who need it most. A special thank you to Jennifer Starkey, Lorraine Hernández Forbes, and Reid Hartsfield of TD Bank, who gave an inspiring talk on Financial Wellness.
