🦟 MOSQUITO CONTROL

Fort Bend County Health & Human Services will conduct aerial mosquito spraying June 22–24, 2026, in designated areas of Fort Bend County to help control mosquito populations and protect public health.

Please note: The City of Sugar Land is not included in the current aerial spray zone. Residents can view the treatment map to see the areas planned for spraying. Planned treatment areas are identified in blue and are subject to change based on conditions and operational needs.

Mosquito spraying in Sugar Land continues to take place on Friday evenings beginning at 9 p.m. (weather permitting) and will continue through October.

If you're heading to our World Cup 26 Viewing Parties in Sugar Land Town Square, please take precautions and plan for the heat. Hydration is the real MVP this week. 🏆💧

-Bring plenty of water and keep sipping throughout the day.
-Wear a hat, sunglasses and lightweight, light-colored clothing.
-Take regular breaks in the shade, especially during the hottest part of the day.
-Keep an eye on kids, grandparents and friends.
⚠️ Feeling dizzy, nauseous, weak or developing a headache? That's your cue to cool off immediately and hydrate.

The Flood Watch for the Sugar Land area is continuing through Thursday morning - we are expecting very heavy rainfall.

⚠️ Avoid low-lying areas and locations with poor drainage.
⚠️ Never drive through flooded roadways.

📦 Stock that emergency kit and keep it close, sign up for weather updates and other city emergency notifications, and review your family's emergency plan.
We cannot stress this enough:
Turn. Around. Don't. Drown.

The flood watch remains in effect for most of Southeast Texas through Thursday morning. Stay weather aware and be prepared!

‼️The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the Sugar Land area. Heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Fort Bend County, including Sugar Land and surrounding areas.

⚠️ Avoid low-lying and poor drainage areas.
⚠️ Never drive through flooded roads – Turn Around, Don’t Drown.

While we're hoping for the best, it's always a good idea to be prepared, just in case:
