PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT: SUMMER WATER SAFETY

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, in partnership with Jeff Davis, President of SeaWorld San Antonio and Aquatica San Antonio, is reminding residents to prioritize water safety throughout the summer season.

With families visiting pools, water parks, lakes, and other recreational water areas, extra caution is strongly encouraged to help prevent accidents and protect lives.

Key Water Safety Tips:
Always supervise children closely around water.
Assign a responsible adult as a dedicated “Water Watcher.”
Use properly fitted life jackets when appropriate.
Never swim alone.
Always follow posted safety rules and lifeguard instructions.

Water safety remains a shared responsibility among families, community members, and local partners. Practicing these simple precautions helps ensure a safe and enjoyable summer for everyone.

Have fun. Stay alert. Be water smart.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating Eden Rodriguez, a registered s*x offender who has failed to comply with required registration check-ins for more than two years.

Rodriguez’s original conviction involved the s*xual assault of a child. Following his release, he was required to register annually as a s*x offender.

Rodriguez last complied with his annual registration requirement on Aug. 29, 2022. As of December 2024, he had not completed his required annual registration and was more than two years overdue.

Rodriguez is also wanted out of Medina County on active warrants for indecency with a child and aggravated s*xual assault of a child. In Bexar County, he is wanted for failing to comply with annual s*x offender registration requirements.

His last known address was in the 5800 block of Pioneer Estate on San Antonio’s far West Side, near Highway 90.

If you have information regarding Rodriguez’s whereabouts, please contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at (210) 335-6000 or email [email protected]

On June 11, 2026, at about 4:20 p.m., the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence in the 9000 block of Hyatt Resort Drive for narcotics. Deputies received a tip alleging possible narcotics usage at the residence, which led to a search warrant being generated and approved.

During ex*****on of the warrant, deputies detained a female at the front door, later identified as Danielle Gill. She was arrested for possession of a controlled substance PG 2 or 2-A ≥4g 5 lbs ≤50 lbs.

A search of the residence resulted in the discovery of approximately 5,768 grams of ma*****na, 43 grams of THC wax, 197 grams of THC v**e products, one AR-15 rifle, one 9mm G***k handgun, and $492,425 in U.S. currency.

Possession and distribution of illegal narcotics is not a victimless crime and contributes to violence, addiction, and harm in our communities. These activities often fuel organized criminal networks, increase the risk of dangerous encounters, and place a heavy burden on families, neighborhoods, and public safety resources.

Attribute the following statement to Sheriff Javier Salazar:
"Over the years, many of our violent crimes, including homicides can be traced back to confrontations over THC v**e cartridges. This issue continues to be a pervasive problem, and is obviously a big money business."

Great work by our deputies and thank you to the public for the tips that helped lead to this apprehension. Please submit tips on the BCSO Sheriffs App or email [email protected] with information regarding possible criminal activity.
