BE INFORMED I Ensuring peace and order in the locality is everyone’s responsibility. It is a task not only for uniformed personnel, but an endeavor for everyone.
True to this, stakeholders in the implementation of Peace and Order and Public Safety in the City have come together to discuss strategies in harmonizing activities for the effective ex*****on of related programs and projects.
In two separate meetings, DILG Baguio City Field Office (DILG-BCFO) Director Evelyn B. Trinidad led the discussion on the implementation of the Government on Wheels and the Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan (KaSimbaYanan).
Government on Wheels is a proposed project to address insurgency in the locality by providing targeted barangays the needed basic services through the implementation of programs, projects and activities (PPAs). Said PPAs will be funded by the concerned National Government Agency (NGA) and will be implemented by the Local Government Unit (LGU). This project aims to encourage our citizenry to access and avail of services provided by the government.
KaSimbaYanan is a program spearheaded by the Philippine National Police (PNP) in coordination with the church and community. It was established to further promote peace and order in the barangays through the provision of life coaching activities. The KaSimbaYanan Core team, composed of different religious denominations, was created to lead the implementation of the program, in coordination with the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO).
These are just two of the many collaborative efforts of the government in promoting peace and order and public safety in the community. Let's take advantage.
