On 14th September 2017, Hindi Divas was celebrated in our school.On this occasion, retired Hindi Sir E T Sasi was delivered a speech to the student for the important of HINDI language.The appreciation and beauty of Hindi as a language was highlighted through a special prayer service and a song."It is celebrated as an event every year on 14th of September because the Hindi language (written in Devanagari script) was first adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India as the official language of the Republic of India on 14th of September in 1949." he added.
The primary section students recited poetry, sang songs.

Gups Chittur celebrated Onam on the school premises amidst much fanfare involving alumni and management of the school.The celebration began with setting up of an attractive floral decoration in the school stage that was reminiscent of the agrarian of past of kerala. Impressive designs and artistic creativity were the hallmarks of the pookalam,which turuned out to be attractive and mesmerizing and tok everyone into a world of festivity and fun.
The main attraction of the programme was "ONAKKALIKAL" arranged by alumin of Gups Chittur and PTA . There were a number of challenge games organized for students and the parents.Another attraction of the day was the traditional "ONASADYA" on banana leaves and include varieties of vegatable,rice,banana and PAYASAM.
Rajamani TK Headmaste of Gups Chittur addressed the gathering and conveyed greetings and wishes of the festival. He lauded the comenable performance of the studnts,teacher and parents and thanke everyone for making the programme a memorable one.

The staff, students and parents of GUPSchool gathered to celebrate the 70th Independence Day of our nation, on Tuesday August 15, at 9 am at school ground.
Sugatha DEO, Thodupuzha the chief guest of the day along with the school PTA President Abdul Ghani, Headmaster of GUPS Rajamani TK, Ward councillor A SASIDHARAN , School Teachers and parents.
The programme began with a school prayer.The HM of GUPS welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest.
To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the chief guest unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the national anthem and expressed the joy of freedom.
On this auspicious day, the chief guest,'Protect The Environment' Stressing the need to protect the environment.
To keep alive the flame of patriotism, the students from classes III to VII performed a patriotic dance and the students of the Music Club rendered a patriotic song that awakened everyone’s feelings towards our motherland.Student of class VI shared her views on the significance of the day and highlighted the importance of the day.
It was indeed a day of joy, love and respects for the country and the students urged to make India a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
