Sunday was AH-mazing! SAFE Illinois was on the ground in Collinsville for our first Reimagining Public Safety Townhall - In Support of The RIFL Act. This Wednesday we're reimagining public safety once again in Chicago with the knowledge and wisdom of Pastor Venus Aughn, Artinese Myrick, Tierra Lemon, Les Jenkins, State Representative Camille Y Lilly, and State Representative La Shawn k Ford.

SAFE Illinois will be co-hosting with the Institute for Non-Violence Chicago, Livefree Illinois, Peacemakers Coalition, and Chicago Urban League. And as always, all of this work and education is in service of getting The RIFL ACT passed! Come and learn with us, and let's make lasting change together on Sept. 30th at 6pm 1841 North Laramie Avenue. Lake County has been rocked this week by twin tragedies.

JOIN SAFE Illinois and Triple C’s NFP by standing together with our neighbors to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

We are coming together for a CEASE FIRE COMMUNITY WALK — not to point fingers, not to judge, and not to divide… but to stand together, raise awareness, support one another, and call for peace.

Every life matters. Every family matters. Every neighborhood matters.

This is our community, and when one of us is hurting, we all feel it.

HB1085 requires most private insurance plans in Illinois to increase reimbursement for behavioral health care beginning in January, among other reforms.

We are so grateful to Rachel Dye, Kate Layton and their entire CCC team for helping raise awareness and build support for The Responsibility in Fi***rm Legislation Act. When passed, The RIFL Act will make Illinois the first state in the nation to hold gun manufacturers accountable for the public health costs of gun violence - by requiring them to share with the taxpayers in footing the bill. THE BILL IS DUE!
