𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒐.. 𝒂𝒏𝒐 𝒏𝒈𝒂 𝒃𝒂 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑮𝒊𝒓𝒍 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝑾𝒆𝒆𝒌 𝒂𝒕 𝒃𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒕 𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏 𝒊𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒅𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒈? 🤔 👭

Tuwing ika-apat na linggo ng Marso, ipinagdiriwang sa Pilipinas ang Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week sa bisa ng 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼. 𝟳𝟱𝟵, 𝘀. 𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟲. Nakasaad dito na ang bawat batang babae na may edad 18 years old pababa ay dapat mabigyan ng 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗮 𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱 at 𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗸𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻 upang maihanda sila sa mga gampanin sa pag-unlad ng lipunan.

Layunin ng pagdiriwang na ito na itaguyod ang karapatan, proteksyon, at pantay na oportunidad ng bawat batang babae upang sila ay maging handa at aktibong makibahagi sa pag-unlad ng lipunan.

Mahalagang tiyakin na ang bawat batang babae ay ligtas, may sapat na kaalaman, at may pagkakataong maabot ang kanilang mga pangarap.

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸! 💜

Ngayong taon ay ang 30th Observance of the Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week na may temang: “𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗼, 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗼: 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝘀𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝘁𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗮.”

Layunin nitong bigyang-pansin ang mahahalagang isyung nakaaapekto sa mga batang babaeng Pilipino—tulad ng adolescent pregnancy, child and early marriage, HIV at iba pang STIs, at responsableng pagpapamilya.

Katuwang ang Council for the Welfare of Children at lahat ng ahensya ng pamahalaan, patuloy ang Philippine Commission on Women sa pagsulong ng mga polisiya at programang magtataguyod ng karapatan, proteksyon, at kapakanan ng mga batang babae tungo sa isang ligtas, malaya, at pantay na kinabukasan.

🛑THERE ARE DIFFERENT KINDS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING🛑

RA 9208, the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, was amended by RA 10364, the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012: establishes the necessary institutional mechanisms to protect and support trafficked persons, and provides penalties for its violations.

What is Trafficking in Persons (TIP)?
Trafficking in persons is an illegal act and is considered a violation of human rights. It has three (3) inter-related and interdependent elements for a situation to be considered trafficking in persons:
ACTS – It involves the recruitment, obtaining, hiring, providing, offering, transportation, transfer, maintaining, harboring, or receipt of persons with or without the victim’s consent or knowledge, within or across national borders;
MEANS – It is committed by use of threat, or use of force, or other forms or coercion, abduction, fraud, deception, abuse of power or of position, taking advantage of the vulnerability of the person, or the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person; and
PURPOSE – It is done for the purpose of exploitation or the prostitution of others or other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labor or services, slavery, involuntary servitude or the removal or sale of organs.
