Mark Alvin C. Sallatic won 4th Place in Copyreading and Headline Writing while Stephanie B. Del Rosario secured 5th Place in Feature Writing, during the 2026 Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) held on March 10-13 in Divine Word College, Inc, Bangued Abra.

The student journalists were grateful for the mentorship and guidance of the School Paper Adviser (SPA), Ryan Jansen Tadeja.

Del Rosario said, "From the very first start, you believed in us. Thank you po for guiding us and helping us. We are truly grateful for your patience and support."

Meanwhile, the Sports Page of the school paper, Voice of the Masses, placed 4th.

The journalists promised to continue what they have started when they reach high school.

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐬 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

To inspire young learners to dream big and begin shaping their future goals, the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) spearheaded a meaningful Career Day activity on February 20.

Dressed in costumes representing their chosen careers, the learners proudly expressed their ambitions through “Show and Tell” presentations.

Inspired by her father’s footsteps, Jhomilyn A. Mocyat, a Grade 5 learner, proudly stood tall in her police uniform.

She confidently expressed, “I want to become a policewoman. Just like my father, I want to serve our community, protect people, and help maintain peace and order in our country.”

In a similar way, Joaquin D. Clavio, a Grade 6 learner, shared his dream of becoming a well-known chef someday.

Wearing his chef’s uniform with confidence, he said, “I want to become a chef so I can create delicious meals that bring families together and make people happy through my cooking.”

With the guidance of Susan D. Banig, SELG adviser, students took center stage and showcased their ambitions according to their chosen fields or sectors of work. These included education, healthcare, military service, industry, and other professional fields.

Tell, who was trapped in a snare set by the destroyer, had been deceived by witchcraft, a drunken man, money, and toxic positivity. Despite his efforts, he could not escape the snare. It was only when Seek and Save appeared to help Tell through prayers and guidance from the Savior.

The story allowed students to experience the power of faith, recognize the dangers of deception, and understand the hope that comes when help arrives at the right time.

Moreover, the team also provided free books authored by Sharon Swanepoel to the students.
