📝Today, we supported the Office for Good Governance within the Prime Minister’s Office in launching the 2025 Government and Local-Level Implementation Report on the Strategy and Action Plan for the Advancement of the Roma and Ashkali Communities in Kosovo 2022–2026.

The Mission supported the local-level component of the report, which includes reporting from 16 municipalities where Municipal Action Committees are implementing Local Action Plans.

💬The launch was followed by a constructive discussion, with participants sharing practical suggestions to strengthen co-ordination between the government and local levels, improve horizontal co-ordination, and further streamline reporting.

🤝The active engagement of municipalities and partners is an important part of turning the Strategy’s commitments into meaningful progress at all levels.

30/08/2026

On this International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, the Mission joins families in remembering their loved ones still missing from the conflict in Kosovo.

Recent recovery efforts in Zubin Potok underline the importance of sustained work to locate, recover and identify missing persons—an essential part of establishing truth and advancing justice.

We encourage all relevant institutions to continue these efforts and cooperate fully through information sharing, searches, recoveries, and forensic examinations, so that families may finally receive the answers for which they have waited far too long.
