Switzerland is happy to support the Prison Radio - International Sound and Radio Art Festival taking place from 10–13 September 2026. Hosted in part at Burgu i Idealit / the Former Pristina Prison, PRISON RADIO supported by the Swiss Development Cooperation brings together artists, musicians, radio makers, writers, researchers, former political prisoners and cultural practitioners from Kosovo, the Western Balkans and across Europe.

Taking the former prison as both a historical site and a point of departure, the festival explores questions of confinement, surveillance, discipline, resistance and freedom - and asks how radio, sound and collective listening can cross physical and social boundaries.

A New Chapter in Trade Relations: EFTA–Kosovo Free Trade Agreement to Enter into Force on 1 October 2026!

The Free Trade Agreement between EFTA (Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) and Kosovo will enter into force on 1 October 2026, creating new opportunities for businesses and strengthening economic ties.

Today, the Swiss Federal Council adopted the changes needed to put the agreement into practice — an important step towards closer trade relations and new opportunities for businesses. 🎉
