ZË - Asociacioni i Logopedëve në Kosovë

📢 Raporti i fundit i Zyrës Kombëtare të Auditimit konfirmon një shqetësim që ZË - Asociacioni i Logopedëve në Kosovë e ka ngritur vazhdimisht: Mungesën e përfshirjes së mjaftueshme të logopedisë në sistemin arsimor.

Raporti i ZKA-së për “Mbështetjen e Nxënësve me Nevoja të Veçanta në Shkollat Fillore dhe të Mesme të Ulëta në Kosovë” evidenton, ndër të tjera, mangësi në funksionimin dhe përbërjen e Ekipeve Vlerësuese Komunale, përfshirë mungesën e profilit të logopedit në ekipe në raste të caktuara.

Në një sistem ku identifikimi dhe vlerësimi i nevojave të nxënësve është thelbësor për përcaktimin e mbështetjes së duhur, mungesa e profesionistit të komunikimit, të folurit dhe gjuhës përbën një boshllëk të rëndësishëm.

🔎 Këto gjetje lidhen drejtpërdrejt me thirrjet që ZË ka bërë ndër vite për njohjen dhe fuqizimin e rolit të logopedit në sistemet publike, përfshirë arsimin dhe fëmijërinë e hershme.

Ne kemi avokuar për përfshirjen e logopedisë në institucionet publike, për funksionimin e vlerësimit multidisiplinar dhe për krijimin e shërbimeve të bazuara në nevojat reale të fëmijëve dhe nxënësve.

🤝 ZË si asociacion profesional që përfaqëson logopedinë në Kosovë, jemi të gatshëm të bashkëpunojmë me MASH-in, DKA-të, shkollat dhe institucionet e tjera arsimore për të zhvilluar modele të qëndrueshme të shërbimeve logopedike, për të mbështetur ekipet profesionale dhe për të kontribuar me ekspertizën tonë në hartimin e politikave dhe praktikave më gjithëpërfshirëse.

Një sistem arsimor gjithëpërfshirës nuk nënkupton vetëm që fëmijët të jenë në shkollë, do të thotë që ata të kenë mbështetjen profesionale që i mundëson të komunikojnë, të mësojnë, të marrin pjesë dhe të zhvillojnë potencialin e tyre. 🗣️💙

📢 The latest performance audit by Kosovo’s National Audit Office confirms a concern that ZË - Kosovar Speech & Language Therapy Association has repeatedly raised: The insufficient integration of speech and language therapy within the education system.

The KNAO report on “Support for Students with Special Educational Needs in Primary and Lower Secondary Schools in Kosovo” identifies, among other issues, shortcomings in the functioning and composition of Municipal Assessment Teams, including cases where the speech and language therapist profile is missing.

In a system where accurate identification and assessment of students needs are essential for determining appropriate support, the absence of a professional specialised in communication, speech and language represents a significant gap.

🔎 These findings directly relate to ZË’s continued advocacy for the recognition and strengthening of the role of speech and language therapists within public systems, including education and early childhood development.

We have consistently called for the inclusion of speech and language therapy within public institutions, effective multidisciplinary assessment, and services based on the actual needs of children and students.

🤝 ZË as the professional association representing speech and language therapy in Kosovo, is ready to work together with the Ministry of Education, municipal education directorates, schools and other educational institutions to develop sustainable models of speech and language therapy services, strengthen professional teams, and contribute our expertise to the development of more inclusive policies and practices.

An inclusive education system does not simply mean that children are present at school, it means ensuring the professional support that enables every child to communicate, learn, participate and reach their potential. 🗣️💙

Vlerësim për anëtarët tonë

Blerta Krasniqi është anëtare profesionale në organizatën ZË nga viti 2024, e anëtarësuar përmes ciklit të parë të anëtarësimit profesional në organizatë.

Në Qershor të këtij viti mbrojti me sukses temën e doktoraturës me titull "Predispositions of Dyslexia for Preschool-Aged Children in Kosovo and in Poland" në Uniwersytet Komisji Edukacji Narodowej w Krakowie, Poloni, duke fituar titullin Doktor i Shkencave (PhD) në fushën e Logopedisë.

Hulumtimi i saj, i realizuar në bashkëpunim ndërmjet Kosovës dhe Polonisë, sjell të dhëna të reja shkencore mbi predispozitat e disleksisë tek fëmijët e moshës parashkollore dhe paraqet studimin e parë krahasues të këtij lloji ndërmjet dy vendeve. Rezultatet e këtij punimi pritet të kontribuojnë në identifikimin e hershëm të fëmijëve në rrezik për disleksi, në përmirësimin e praktikave të vlerësimit dhe ndërhyrjes logopedike, si dhe në krijimin e një baze të rëndësishme shkencore për zhvillimin e kërkimeve dhe shërbimeve logopedike në Kosovë.

Members spotlight

Blerta Krasniqi has been a professional member of ZË - Kosovar Speech and Language Therapy Association since 2024, having joined during the Association's first professional membership cycle.

In June of this year, she successfully defended her doctoral dissertation entitled "Predispositions of Dyslexia for Preschool-Aged Children in Kosovo and in Poland" at the Uniwersytet Komisji Edukacji Narodowej w Krakowie, Poland, earning the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Speech and Language Therapy.

Her research, conducted through collaboration between Kosovo and Poland, provides new scientific evidence on the predispositions to dyslexia among preschool-aged children and represents the first comparative study of its kind between the two countries. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to the early identification of children at risk of dyslexia, improve speech and language therapy assessment and intervention practices, and establish an important scientific foundation for the further development of research and speech and language therapy services in Kosovo.

With the majority of votes in favour from the General Assembly of ESLA, the proposal of ZË – Kosovar Speech & Language Therapy Association to become a FULL MEMBER in ESLA – European Speech & Language Therapy Association, as the representative of the country of Kosova, has been officially ACCEPTED.

The full membership of ZË and Kosovo grants us equal rights, opportunities, and responsibilities alongside every other member country and association within ESLA, strengthening our position within the European speech and language therapy community.

ZË – Asociacioni i Logopedëve në Kosovë po merr pjesë në Seminarin e ESLA e cila u mbajt dje në Parlamentin e Estonisë në Talinn.

Logopedët nga Evropa u mblodhën për të diskutuar rreth të ardhmes së Logopedisë, duke u fokusuar në inovacionin, qasshmërinë dhe gjithëpërfshijen.

Gjatë ditës së sotme do të mbahet edhe Asambleja e Përgjithshme e ESLA në hapësirat e Universitetit të Tallinnit, ku përfaqësuesit i organizatës ZË do të prezantojë të arriturat e organizatës dhe Kosovës sa i përket logopedisë, ku edhe do të votohet për avancimin e anëtarësimit të Kosovës në ESLA si anëtarë i plotë.

ZË – Kosovar Speech & Language Therapy Association is participating in the seminar organized by ESLA, which was held yesterday at the Estonian Parliament in Tallinn.

Speech and language therapists from across Europe gathered to discuss the future of speech and language therapy, focusing on innovation, accessibility, and inclusion.

Today, the General Assembly of ESLA will also be held at the premises of Tallinn University, where representatives of ZË will present the achievements of the organization and Kosovo in the field of speech and language therapy since joining ESLA as Associate Members in 2023. During the Assembly, a vote will also take place regarding the advancement of Kosovo’s membership in ESLA to full membership status.

Në një organizim tashmë tradicional, organizata ZË, për vitin e pestë me radhë, do ta mbështesë Javën e Terapisë së Artit nga Qendra për Informim dhe Përmirësim Social përmes përfshirjes aktive në aktivitete të ndryshme.

Gjithëpërfshirja arrihet vetëm përmes hapave konkretë.

Jemi shumë të lumtur të ndajmë lajmin se këtë vit, dy përfitues të shërbimeve të muzikë terapisë në organizatë do të marrin pjesë në koncertin përmbyllës të Javës së Terapisë së Artit.

Ylli dhe Elioni kanë nënshkruar kontratat e tyre të para si performues në këtë koncert. Në përputhje me kornizën ligjore të Republikës së Kosovës, ata do të kompensohen për performancën e tyre me trajtim profesional dhe të rregullt, njësoj si çdo artist tjetër.

📌Le të shërbejë kjo iniciativë si shembull edhe për institucionet e tjera publike e private, për promovimin e angazhimit gjithëpërfshirës dhe dinjitoz të të gjithë qytetarëve në Kosovë, pa dallim.

In a traditional activity now, for the fifth consecutive year, ZË will support The Art Therapy Week organized by the Center for Information and Social Improvement through our active involvement in various activities.

Inclusion can only be achieved through concrete steps.

We are very happy to share the news that this year, two beneficiaries of the music therapy services at our organization will participate in the closing concert of The Art Therapy Week.

Ylli and Elion have signed their first contracts as performers for this concert. In accordance with the legal framework of the Republic of Kosovo, they will be compensated for their performance with professional and proper treatment, just like any other artist.

📌Let this initiative serve as an example for other public and private institutions as well, in promoting the inclusive and dignified engagement of all citizens in Kosovo, without discrimination.

Vlerësimi për anëtarët tonë

Valmira Xharavina është anëtare profesionale në organizatën ZË qysh prej vitit 2021. Ajo aktualisht mban edhe pozitën e zëvendës delegates zyrtare për organizatën ZË dhe shtetin e Kosovës në ESLA – European Speech & Language Therapy Association.

Në Mars të këtij viti në Berlin të Gjermanisë ajo prezantoi punën e saj “Fine-Grained Neural Distinctions in Abstract Concepts: An fMRI study” në simpoziumin e MindBrainBody të organizuar nga Shkolla Kognitive Max Planck.

Aktualisht, ajo po ndjek studimet e doktoraturës në neuroshkencë kognitive të gjuhës në Spitalin Universitar Aachen.

Valmira Xharavina has been a professional member of ZË since 2021. She currently also holds the position of official deputy delegate for ZË and the country of Kosovo in ESLA - European Speech & Language Therapy Association.

In March of this year, in Berlin Germany, she presented her work titled “Fine-Grained Neural Distinctions in Abstract Concepts: An fMRI Study” at the MindBrainBody symposium organized by the Max Planck School of Cognition.

She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies in cognitive neuroscience of language at the University Hospital Aachen.
