Year 10 Students Visit the Office of the Legislative Assembly
A group of thirty one Year 10 History students and Teachers visited the Office of the Legislative Assembly on Thursday 26th March 2026 @9:00am, as part of their ongoing Maluafou College program.
The purpose of the visit was to broaden students’ understanding of parliamentary procedures and Practice and functions of Parliament. It also provided a valuable opportunity for students to gain firsthand insight into the roles and responsibilities of the OCLA staff.
A key highlight of the visit were presentations delivered by the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly, Satama Leatisa Uitime Tala. The Clerk provided an informative overview of the functions of Parliament and outlined the roles and responsibilities of Members of Parliament, offering students a clearer understanding of legislative processes.
During the visit, students participated in a guided tour of the facilities, where they observed the operational processes of the Legislative Assembly and developed an appreciation for the day-to-day functions that support parliamentary work.
