What an incredible kickoff to Samoa’s 64th Year of Independence Variety Show. The first night was a vibrant celebration filled with electrifying performances.
The stage came alive with the talent of young artists, alongside special guest legends of Samoan music, including Tiama’a, Losa Pa’epa’e, and the iconic Fa’anana Jerome Grey, who graced us with his presence alongside his sons.
Join us for Night 2 as we continue the festivities in front of the Government Building.

A beautiful early morning as thousands gathered at the Malae o Tiafau in vibrant colors to kick off an epic celebration of Samoa’s 64th Independence.🇼🇸

The air was electric, filled with the vibrant energy of students in colourful uniforms, organisations, the business community, and government ministries, all buzzing with excitement for the March-Pass and the Official Flag-raising ceremony.

The celebration will continue this afternoon with the return of the Fautasi Race and the Variety Show, to be held in front of the Government Building Main Stage, later tonight.

Samoa's 64th Independence Celebration has officially commenced with a heartfelt Official Service, led by the National Council of Churches. The ceremony was presided over by His Grace Archbishop Mosese Vitolio Tui, the leader of the Catholic Church in Samoa.
The event also, featured a vibrant choral exhibition, showcasing an array of impressive performances from various Christian denominations. Each choir brought its unique style and interpretation to the stage, emphasising Samoa’s rich cultural heritage and unwavering faith, as enshrined in its Constitution: “Samoa is Founded on God”.
