📍 Flanders Investment & Trade/Embassy of Belgium – Hanoi, Vietnam
Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT), the economic representation of the Flemish Region of Belgium in Vietnam, is looking for a Full-time Assistant to the Head of Office to join our dynamic team in Hanoi.

✨ About the role
You will support the Trade & Investment Counsellor in daily operations and contribute to strengthening business relations between Belgium and Vietnam. The position combines administration, business research, event coordination, and international collaboration.

🔎 Key responsibilities
• Support daily business operations
• Identify Vietnamese companies for partnerships and investment opportunities
• Arrange B2B meetings for business delegations
• Conduct market research and draft reports
• Assist in organizing trade events and missions
• Provide administrative and translation support

✅ Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (economics, trade, languages or related fields)
• Very good English & Vietnamese (written and spoken). Knowledge of Dutch or any other European language is considered a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Good command of MS Office and CRM tools
• Ability to manage the required tasks and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility, attention to detail, service-oriented and willingness to learn.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a small team
• Experience in international environments is an advantage

We had the great pleasure to attend Food & Hospitality Asia in Singapore last week. FHA covered 10 exhibition halls, each dedicated to specific sectors and attracting significant visitor traffic.

Altogether, 33 companies from Flanders were spread across Halls 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, and 10.

Flanders Investment & Trade HANOI hosted more than 10 buyers from Vietnam with the help of the FIT colleagues from Singapore, Brussels, Bangkok, etc...

The first day was especially busy, as most Vietnamese buyers visited and held meetings with Flemish companies at the FIT pavilion. On the second day, meetings continued at the VLAM and VLAM booths.

Vietnamese buyers demonstrated strong interest in products, ambient , , , and . The meetings were highly productive and enabled Flemish companies to better understand the preferences of Asian markets, particularly the importance of attractive packaging.

In total, 83 B2B meetings were conducted and several buyers have already indicated potential deals. FIT Hanoi will continue to help our companies to convert these opportunities into tangible trade outcomes.

🎓It was a real pleasure to welcome many last Friday. It was very rewarding to see all the smiling faces.

What a great way to finish a busy year where we welcomed Their Majesties the King and Queen of Belgium and Minister Cieltje Van Achter.

Friday evening was about reconnecting, sharing stories, enjoying ourselves and looking ahead. Because alumni are not only part of our past but also of our future.
