AsemconnectVietnam - an information bridge linking Asian and European enterprises, was set up in 2001 according to Decision No. 3849/VPCP-TTTH dated September 11, 2000 of the Prime Minister and Decision No. 1409 QD/BTM dated October 12, 2000 of the Ministry of Trade (now called the Ministry of Industry and Trade). Vietnam Industry and Trade Information Center was assigned by the Ministry of Indust
ry and Trade to set up, manage and operate the website Asemconnectvietnam.gov.vn of Vietnam, (http://www.asemconnectvietnam.gov.vn) and take part in ASEMconnect network of Asia Europe Meeting (ASEM). In July of 2007, Asemconnectvietnam.gov.vn was officially acknowledged as a representative website of Vietnam in WTO. Asemconnectvietnam.gov.vn is engaged in enhancing the international integration, trade exchange, looking for business opportunities and pushing up investment for Asian and European enterprises. The website has a version in English and a version in Vietnamese. Version of Asemconnectvietnam.gov.vn in English:
- To introduce the overall trade and economic picture of Vietnam as well as policies, potentials and strong points of cities and provinces to lure foreign investment.
- To introduce preferential policies for domestic and foreign invested enterprises in Vietnam.
- To show the import and export figures and trade exchange between Vietnam and ASEM members and countries all over the world.

AsemconnectVietnam - nhịp cầu kết nối thông tin giữa hai châu lục Á - Âu được thành lập từ năm 2001 theo quyết định số 3849/VPCP-TTTH ngày 11/9/2000 của Thủ tướng Chính phủ và quyết định số 1409 QĐ/BTM ngày 12/10/2000 của Bộ Công Thương. Trung tâm thông tin Công nghiệp và Thương mại được Bộ Công Thương giao chủ trì xây dựng, quản lý và vận hành trang chủ ASEMconnect của Việt Nam (http://www.asemconnectvietnam.gov.vn) tham gia mạng ASEMconnect của diễn đàn hợp tác kinh tế Á – Âu. Tháng 7/2007, trang Aemconnectvietnam được Tổ chức WTO chính thức công nhận là trang đại diện cho Việt Nam tại WTO. Trang Asemconnectvietnam.gov.vn được giao nhiệm vụ tăng cường hội nhập kinh tế quốc tế, thúc đẩy giao lưu thương mại, tìm kiếm cơ hội kinh doanh, đầu tư giữa cộng đồng các DN của hai châu lục Á và Âu, được thiết kế với hai phiên bản: phiên bản tiếng Việt và phiên bản tiếng Anh. Phiên bản tiếng Anh: giới thiệu bức tranh toàn cảnh kinh tế và thương mại của Việt Nam ra thế giới. Giới thiệu các chính sách, tiềm năng, thế mạnh của các địa phương, tỉnh, thành phố nhằm thu hút đầu tư nước ngoài và cơ chế chính sách ưu đãi đối với các doanh nghiệp Việt Nam và các doanh nghiệp có vốn đầu tư nước ngoài tại Việt Nam.
