Swim Hanoi offer's private and group swimming sessions for all levels by an American Red Cross certified Instructor. Private Sessions are now offered.

Swim Hanoi offers swimming lessons under the Instruction of Alexia Berta Demetriou in the Tay Ho (Westlake) area. Swim Hanoi's philosophy is that children learn best when the instructor communicates in a caring, consistent and clear manner. This is done most effectively when trust is built between the instructor and student in a safe environment. Each student is given as much time as it takes for

them to feel secure and confident. Trust is the foundational building block in the relationship between instructors and swimmers. Once trust has been built, the student goes on to learn at a steady pace and is more likely to try new skills and conquer fears. Swim Hanoi is committed to showing great interest in it's swimmers and their accomplishments. Sessions consist of encouragement, praise, high 5′s, hugs and smiles. Even the smallest accomplishments will be praised. When a swimmer overcomes a fear or masters a skill, parents may notice a joyful expression on both the swimmer’s and the teacher’s face. The physical safety of each swimmer during lessons is promised, by maintaining full attention on each student and ensuring both swimmers and the instructor are positioned safely in the pool. It is my firm belief that swimming and being in and around aquatic environments should be a fun activity that students go to and perform with joy. Therefore all lessons are structured in a way that is enjoyable and playfull and allows the student to leave his/her session with a smile on their face and eager for the next one! About the Instructor:Alexia Berta Demetriou is a certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. Experienced in teaching swimming as part of the curricular and extra curricular programs run by IB accredited International Schools, Alexia is currently teaching ASA's at the United Nations International School of Hanoi, Aquatics Academy. Dear friends of Swim Hanoi, we are currently in the midst of restructuring and basically figuring out what will happen next. As you know our dear Anita who has managed and carried the legacy of our small but loving swimming school so incredibly well, will now be moving onto new adventures in Europe. We had initially found an incredibly talented person to fill those very big shoes however, things change and we were left to make other arrangements. We will be communicating as soon as we know more concretely what the future steps will be. Thank you for being so supportive and patient! The A team (Alexia and Anita)

Welcome to the team Ms Cat!

Cat has been coaching at UNIS for over 10 years and we are very excited to have her swimming with us this season 🙃

Ms Cat will be co-teaching with Ms Anita some of our classes on Monday, Thursday and Saturday in this current cycle.

First classes of Summer Sessions starting today and we'll be swimming indoors at 20 Thuy Khue!
The water at E1 Ciputra pool needs a few more days to heat up and thundershowers are expected today. Fortunately, it will be just getting warmer every day now so we should be okay to swim there in few days!
