APPLICATION FOR ASEAN SCHOLARSHIPS FOR VIETNAM ACADEMIC YEAR 2021

Applications are now open for the ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam, Academic Year 2021.

The ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced (GCE A-Level) (or equivalent) certificate. The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary 3 to Pre-University 2. The Scholarship will provide annual allowance with hostel accommodation; settling-in allowance; return economy class air passage; coverage of school fees and GCE O-Level and A-Level examination fees; subsidised medical benefits and accident insurance cover.

Students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for the scholarship:

• Nationals of Vietnam
• Born between 2004 to 2006
• Completed at least Grade 8 of Lower Secondary Education
• Have done consistently well in their examinations
• Proficiency in English and a good record of participation in co-curricular activities

Students are strongly encouraged to apply online at the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) website
(https://www.moe.gov.sg/admissions/scholarships/asean/vietnam) by 2 April 2020. If they do not have access to the internet, they can submit the hard copy of the completed application form directly to the Singapore MOE before the closing date of 2 April 2020 at the following address:

Applicants who wish to seek the Embassy’s assistance in forwarding the hard copy application forms to Singapore MOE should submit directly to the Embassy (NOT through the Ministry of Education and Training or local Departments of Education and Training) by 23 March 2020 at the following address:

THÔNG BÁO TUYỂN SINH HỌC BỔNG ASEAN DÀNH CHO VIỆT NAM NĂM HỌC 2021

Chúng tôi bắt đầu nhận hồ sơ dự thi học bổng ASEAN dành cho thí sinh Việt Nam năm học 2021.

Học bổng ASEAN cho Việt Nam được cấp cho 4 năm học ở Singapore cho đến khi đạt Chứng chỉ Giáo dục Tổng hợp Singapore-Cambridge cấp độ Nâng cao (GCE A-Level) (hoặc tương đương). Các em học sinh nhận được học bổng này sẽ học 2 năm phổ thông và 2 năm dự bị đại học tại các trường chọn của Singapore. Học bổng bao gồm trợ cấp sinh hoạt phí hàng năm, ký túc xá, trợ cấp ổn định ban đầu, vé máy bay khứ hồi hạng phổ thông, học phí và phí dự thi lấy chứng nhận GCE O-Level và GCE A-Level, ưu đãi y tế và bảo hiểm tai nạn.

Thí sinh đáp ứng các tiêu chí sau có thể nộp hồ sơ dự thi học bổng:

• Là công dân Việt Nam
• Sinh năm 2004 đến 2006
• Đã hoàn thành lớp 8 của chương trình giáo dục trung học cơ sở
• Có thành tích tốt trong các kỳ thi cử
• Học giỏi tiếng Anh và tham gia tích cực trong các hoạt động ngoại khóa

Chúng tôi khuyến khích các thí sinh nộp hồ sơ qua mạng (đăng ký online) thông qua trang web của Bộ Giáo dục Singapore
(https://www.moe.gov.sg/admissions/scholarships/asean/vietnam).
Hạn chót nộp hồ sơ qua mạng là ngày 2 tháng 4 năm 2020. Các thí sinh không đăng ký được qua mạng có thể điền đơn đăng ký bản giấy gửi trực tiếp tới Bộ Giáo dục Singapore trước ngày 2 tháng 4 năm 2020 theo địa chỉ sau:

Những thí sinh không thể đăng ký qua mạng có nguyện vọng nhờ Đại sứ quán gửi giúp đơn đăng ký bản giấy tới Bộ Giáo dục Singapore phải gửi đến Đại sứ quán (KHÔNG thông qua Bộ Giáo dục và Đào tạo Việt Nam hoặc các Sở Giáo dục và Đào tạo) trước ngày 23 tháng 3 năm 2020 theo địa chỉ sau:

Một trong các hoạt động bên lề các khoá học tại VSCC

We hosted a lively discussion with students from Eunoia Junior College at the Vietnam-Singapore Cooperation Centre this afternoon. The students are visiting Hanoi and Sapa as part of their Global Overseas Programme. We briefed them on our strong bilateral relations with Vietnam and took questions about a career in the Singapore Foreign Service. We hope that through this trip the students will deepen their understanding of Vietnam. All the best for the remainder of their stay in Vietnam!

Chiều hôm nay chúng tôi đã có một buổi thảo luận sôi nổi với các em học sinh đến từ trường dự bị đại học Eunoia tại Trung tâm Hợp tác Việt Nam - Singapore. Các em học sinh đang tham quan Hà Nội và Sa Pa theo Chương trình Du học Toàn cầu. Chúng tôi đã giới thiệu cho các em về quan hệ song phương vững mạnh với Việt Nam cũng như giải đáp những thắc mắc về công việc trong ngành ngoại giao Singapore. Hi vọng rằng chuyến đi này sẽ giúp các em học sinh hiểu thêm nhiều điều về Việt Nam. Chúc các em những điều tốt đẹp nhất trong suốt thời gian còn lại tại Việt Nam!

Welcomed students from Victoria School to the Vietnam-Singapore Cooperation Centre this morning. The students are on a week-long visit to northern Vietnam as part of their Humanities Immersion Programme. We shared with them on Singapore-Vietnam bilateral relations and the roles and functions of the Embassy. Glad to see more students visiting Vietnam to learn about our ASEAN neighbour. Many of them were impressed with what they saw in Vietnam and hope to visit again!

Sáng nay, chúng tôi đã đón tiếp đoàn học sinh trường trung học Victoria tại Trung tâm Hợp tác Việt Nam - Singapore. Các em học sinh đang thực hiện chuyến tham quan miền bắc Việt Nam kéo dài một tuần theo Chương trình Trải nghiệm Nhân văn. Chúng tôi đã chia sẻ với các em về quan hệ song phương Singapore - Việt Nam cũng như vai trò và chức năng của Đại sứ quán. Thật vui khi được thấy ngày càng nhiều học sinh đến thăm Việt Nam để tìm hiểu về người hàng xóm ASEAN của chúng tôi. Nhiều em cảm thấy rất ấn tượng với những điều được chứng kiến tại Việt Nam và hi vọng sẽ có dịp trở lại!

Representatives from the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Technical Cooperation Directorate and the Singapore Embassy in Hanoi had a productive meeting this afternoon with Dr Pham Lan Dung, Vice President of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) and staff from the Foreign Service Centre (FOSET) of the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) to discuss our collaboration to deliver more capacity building programmes at the Vietnam-Singapore Cooperation Centre (VSCC). We look forward to many more years of cooperation between our two agencies as part of Singapore's continued commitment in providing technical assistance to Vietnam!

Chiều nay, Đại diện Cục Hợp tác Kỹ thuật, Bộ Ngoại giao Singapore và Đại sứ quán Singapore tại Hà Nội đã tham dự một cuộc họp hiệu quả với Tiến sĩ Phạm Lan Dung, Phó Giám đốc Học viện Ngoại giao Việt Nam (DAV) và các cán bộ Trung tâm Dịch vụ Đối ngoại (FOSET), Bộ Ngoại giao Việt Nam (MoFA) để thảo luận về hợp tác hai bên nhằm tổ chức thêm các chương trình nâng cao năng lực tại Trung tâm Hợp tác Việt Nam – Singapore (VSCC). Chúng tôi mong đợi hai bên sẽ hợp tác trong nhiều năm sắp tới trong bối cảnh Singapore cam kết sẽ tiếp tục hỗ trợ kỹ thuật cho Việt Nam!
