The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) was pleased to visit the Rising Stars Youth Steel Orchestra Summer Enrichment Camp as part of its first of six scheduled Rap Sessions.

Representatives from VIWMA's Division of Education and Communications Management and Enforcement Division engaged approximately 100 campers in an interactive discussion about the importance of environmental responsibility. Students learned about the proper disposal of solid waste, wastewater, green waste, and electronic waste, as well as the harmful impacts of illegal dumping on our environment and community.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Rising Stars Youth Steel Orchestra for the opportunity to invest in our youth and inspire the next generation to help preserve our beautiful Virgin Islands.

Congratulations to Michael Torres, who was spotted Preserving Paradise and rewarded!
